She received her PhD in Philosophy from Rush University in 1990, where she was a John and Helen Kellog Scholar. She has over forty years of clinical and academic experience as a nurse. She has served as a Dean of Nursing, healthcare consultant, lecturer, author, and nurse practitioner. With her team of knowledgeable nurse experts, Dr. Martin brings her expertise nationwide to serve the needs of nursing and clinical education programs. She has worked with many clients, including nursing programs with the University of Illinois and the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. As an affirmation of her impressive career in the challenging nursing field, Diann became the founder and CEO of RoadScholars RN, a nursing educational consulting firm located in Wilmette, Illinois. Services include temporary nursing faculty staffing, temporary-to-hire nurse educator staffing, and temporary nursing academic leadership staffing. Moreover, RoadScholars assists nursing programs nationwide with curriculum development, program evaluation, preparation for accreditation and process improvement and new program launches. Over the course of her outstanding professional journey, Diann served in a full suite of leadership roles and she performed impeccably in each and every case. Diann is a registered nurse who received her registered nursing degree as well as her bachelor’s degree of science in nursing in 1970 from Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. She further completed her PhD at Rush University in 1990. A supporter and promoter of continued learning Diann became a Certified Passion Test Facilitator and Certified Zentangle Instructor in 2014. In 1990, she was honored as John and Helen Kellog Scholar by Rush University. Her favorite medical publication is Nurse Educator, which is in line with her strong belief in the importance of education, and she likes to dedicate to crafting and making jewelry in her spare time.
