Friendly faces and good service. Eggs Benedict was yummy and the kids mickey pancake was filling. Carpets are old but the artwork in back was a nice surprise. Bathrooms are clean. That's always nice. The town seems quaint.
I came in with a group of 7 nearing noon. There was a decent amount of customers in the restaurant and a couple of tables outside. We were sat right away and offered our drinks immediately. The server was very nice and the food came out fairly quick. They serve a-lot per portion and at a low cost. Dieners is a cute hole-in-the-wall, I’d definitely come back if in the area.
This was the first time I visited in awhile, but I have noticed some key differences since the ownership change. 1. 45 minute time limit per table really limits the home-like feel the restaurant used to have and even heard a waitress warn a table that just sat down about it. 2. Switch to generic jellies, butter, syrup, and half and half. 3. Strange decor on the wall the mostly naked figures in the art in one booth. I will say though, the overall food experience is still good and the value is still there dependent on the order hence the 4 stars.
We went there for a family gathering for breakfast. The server was very attentive and helpful. The meals were delicious and generous helpings. I especially enjoyed the crab, mushroom and cheese omelette!
Amazing service from our server and team at Diener's and delicious food. I had the Mexican Omelette with hash browns and wheat toast. The coffee was fresh the most important part. Definitely with a stop when you are in Mechanicsburg.
Went for breakfast last Saturday. Pumpkin pancakes and sausage were great. Husband's eggs and potatoes were ok, but cold. Seemed like a fun local place to go again.
Really friendly staff, Mickey Mouse pancake was a huge hit with our daughter. Mexican omelette and coffee were delicious. Perfect on a cold winter day
Good food and plenty of it. Certainly did not leave there hungry! Friendly staff - can't ask for much more. Didn't give it 5 stars because both times that I've had breakfast there, my eggs have been cold. Apart from that, Diener's is a nice neighborhood diner and we'll visit again.
Loved the food and service! Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. We were a party of three on a Sunday before church.Food: 5/5
I walked in and walked out, me and my family are African American and everyone in there was either white, or a tint of black when we walked in there everyone was staring so much at us, and if we even got near them they would have a disgusted/or terrified face we sat down for a little bit but just left. They may have not been used to this new culture, but if your a colored person I wouldn't recommend this because it just made me and my family very uncomfortable and just had to leave immediately.
