My daughter had a reaction to food while we were dining out. She started to have trouble breathing. This hospital was right next door... by the time we pulled up to the hospital, my daughter was gasping for air and turing blue. She collapsed in front of the hospital doors. She was conscious but struggling to breathe. The nurses came out to get her, and immediately, one of them started telling my daughter that she needed to just calm down and breathe because she is just making it worse for herself. I was seeing RED after that comment but said nothing and let them proceed to help her The same horribly mannered nurse continued to make small, unnecessary comments while we were there. About my daughter's "panic attack." They told my daughter not to eat at that restaurant again and prescribed her an anti anxiety medication that was way more than necessary for a 115-pound girl. Never have I heard of a "medical professional" telling someone "you need to just calm down and breath, your making it worse" when calming down, AND breathing is clearly out of their control. The front desk lady was so scattered, brained. The male nurse Tristan, I think his name was, was friendly and made the whole experience better.
Horrible experience! I took my son in on 7/13/2023 for excruciating ear pain, explained to the Dr he has a long history of ear infection issues/past surgeries. Dr Mayberry insisted on irrigating his ear which was already swollen completely shut with a high pressure syringe-then diagnosed him with "Swimmers Ear". He prescribed antibiotic ear drops which were practically impossible fill -none of the pharmacies in the city of Surprise had the medication in stock- so he didn't even get his prescription until today 7/17/2023. On Friday morning- the ear was bleeding, and he can no longer hear out of the ear at all. When I called to give them the opportunity to make things right by going back in hopes to see a Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist- I was told this is not a real "Emergency Room" or "Hospital"- despite the fact there are signs on the exterior of the building that state otherwise. The head "ER Nurse" I spoke to to was extremely defensive and outright RUDE. I was also told I would need to pay another co-pay of $150 if we were to come back. Thankfully- my Primary Care doc was able to get him in tomorrow and will be referring to a ENT Specialist for further evaluation. I realize most people that are in a great deal of discomfort probably don't read reviews before going to a so called "Emergency Room" but for those who do- BEWARE of this place!!! This "place" definitely falls beneath the standard of care. Both my Father and Sister are Doctors- and they agree this is completely unacceptable conduct. Hopefully my son's hearing recovers.
I had horrible service back in April 2022, still suffering from the same issue from a fall, today 7/27/2023 I receive a bill for collection, after paying 150.00 at the time of the visit. Today I get a notice I am going in collection after never receiving a bill. The staff is incompetent. Do not waste your time or money in this place, its worth it to go to ER at least you will get a real evaluation of your issues and concerns. I did give 1 star as the system would not let me give a 0 for this unprofessional place
How to make the best out of a difficult situation. ER’s are never fun, but taking my 90 yr old mother with dementia to Dignity ER yesterday was STRESS FREE. We waited maybe 10 minutes max., she was treated with care and respect, all staff were calm, relaxed so she was too! Made all the difference in the world. BTW I DO NOT write reviews - but they truly deserve it. I received a follow up phone call today to check on how my mom is doing! Shocking! And spectacular. Thank You Dignity ER!
Don’t go here. Save your time. These people could really care less about you. The nurse rolled her eyes at me when I asked her to adjust my bed for me. I’m a chronic pain case with a history of surgery and medication to go with and they gave me a steroid injection which made it worse. I ended up at another ER a couple hours later for extreme discomfort. The Dr said they don’t treat chronic pain at the ER - B.S!!! What a joke.
This little ER doesn't get enough credit.. today was an amazing experience from the front door unit secretary Tuan to the x-ray guy I loved them all made me feel safe and cozy 10 star for you guys a special thanks to PA Nicole amazing person Thank you all for all you do!!! Please Remember you have to give respect to get respect,they know we are ill from get go but rushing in with demands and attitudes won't get you to the back any faster...be patient and kind to all health care workers.. Please Tagged the thumbs up to give these guy better ratting they truly deserve it I even got a check up call the next day..how that for great customer service
Not sure why all the negative reviews, this place is great! I’ve taken my son who is asd nonverbal here and the staff was very friendly and got us in and out very quickly. Last time I went to a regular large hospital they took 4 hours to get us seen and my son did not do well during those 4 hours so I haven’t been back to a regular hospital since then. I really like this place.
genuinely the worst experience and probably one of the worst nights of my life. Was having immense chest pains and was laughed at by Dr. Eric Mann and dismissed. They gave me an IV and when they asked if it was helping and I told them no and that it made it worse they literally laughed. Dr. Eric Mann completely dismissed all of my concerns and literally prescribed pepto bismol without even asking any questions at all on the pain I was experiencing. He was genuinely the worst and rudest doctor I’ve ever encountered. The nurses were rude and sarcastic. I was there for 4 hours alone in a room and ended up leaving in more pain then when I arrived. If you are having an emergency please don’t go here. I know nobody looks at the reviews on a place before going to an ER.. I sure didnt. But this place should be shut down, the way they treat patients is completely unacceptable.
Your nurses are so kind, but even they can’t help but laugh at the doctor prescribing two medications that I’m listed as allergic to because one will put me into tachycardia and possible arrhythmias and the other cause liver damage. Really?!?!
Disappointed, on the first visit, the first thing the Dr said was that the person needed an iv and fluids. On the second visit, the patient literally just walked out of the bathroom from going pee and was drinking a large bottle of Gatorade when the Dr said they needed an iv and fluids. The nurse came in and said sorry put down your drink so we can give you fluids by iv. She pulls out a 12 gauge needle and said that's what was ordered for an iv for fluids. Upset, we questioned her why they would use an excessively big needle that will cause excessive pain instead of the standard 23 gauge she said that's what they use for ivs there. We tried to get her to get a smaller needle but nope. After the iv didn't do anything but cause unnecessary pain and no medication was given by it. Later, I talked to our primary Dr, who also felt what they did was excessive and unnecessary. We definitely won't ever go back.
