Health Check before entering the clinic. Mask required. Confirm your arrival and appointment either at 1 of 6 mostly unmanned booths or via 2 stand alone electronic kiosks. I used kiosk. Had to have VA ID card and then confirm information VA has on my identity. Useful, since some information about emergency contact petson was missing and I have a new email address. Had to change contact person and email. Kiosk is low to the ground, I assume to accommodate disabled veterans? I almost had to bend down to enter all the required information. Plus I had to enter the ID and information twice. First attempt failed. Waiting Room is large and busy. TV with day time programs and lots of commercials dominates the waiting area. VA Police located behind 2 way mirror. My appointment was on time and very professional. Very happy with my VA provider. Disappointing that the second half of my appointment is 3 months away. All things considered, this VA clinic appointment experience is an improvement compared to my past experiences at this clinic. Thank you VA for trying to help veterans.
Went there to transfer to this facility, waited over two hours before giving up and leaving after finding out veterans were waiting over three hours for medical care. The worst clinic I have ever been too.
I went in to receive a flu shot at 1030am, I waited in line for 30 minutes, spoke to a very rude customer service representative old angry woman at window 4. I then sat for over 2 hours waiting, at this time I went back to window 4 & she explained to me I came at a bad time because now it was lunch time & there is a 2 hour window everyone goes to lunch. So I guess it was my fault! During these 2 hours, I sat listening how they treat the older veterans & I am embarrassed I even heard a younger African American person tell the rude window 4 woman that she needs to work on how she speaks to people/veterans. I have always told people that the VA has been good to me, but it has changed with the type of people they hire & with how poorly the clinics are ran. Very poor service!
Dr Blake has been the best primary care Dr for my husband! She is very thorough, and gets the job done every time! It has been a great experience here.
Recently switched to this clinic. Haven't been seen yet. I made an appointment over a month ago for September 1st the soonest they could get me in. Today 7/16 I got a voice-mail from a very snotty female. I'm assuming she's from the clinic, the number she called me from is the Phoenix main number, telling me that my appointment had been canceled and they sent 3 letters and 2 previously emails. None of which is true. So far not very impressed.
Trying to get an appointment here to see my primary care is an absolute pain!! There will be times my doctor just completely forgets to call me to schedule an appointment! Sometimes I'll call a week later after having them tell me that they will call me back. Then they will say stuff like "I don't know why someone didn't call you back, or is your phone number still this". Then don't even get me started on the actual care you get when you are there! Please, work on this because it's so frustrating not getting good quality care! If and when I actually get an appointment I go in and leave frustrated knowing none of my health concerns have been addressed and I'll have to wait another few months to see someone with the same issue!
I have mixed feelings about the facility. On one hand I get great service at the audio Clinic. Everyone there is great. I've been there many times because one or the other hearing aids don't never work properly. That's why I go so often. On the other hand I can't ever get a person on the phone, it's always Voice mail even when I need to change an appointment. It's frustrating. The other clinics have done right by me. Way better than the main hospital down town.
First time visit to this facility a couple of months ago. While it was extremely busy there was more than ample parking, the facility was clean and all the employees I had any interaction with were polite and more than helpful. I saw the Primary Care Physician there for the first time and she was very pleasant, attentive to my issues, took her time with me and took the time to explain what would or should be done. I have called on one or two more occasions for various issues or inquiries and received very quick responses. Likewise, when utilizing the Myhealthevet web site to communicate with my PCP, I received even quicker responses. I cannot ask for anything better.
Its a bit of a pain all calls go through the downtown Phoenix V.A. but you can use the website to send email directly to your provider. Another way is ask your provider for their direct number. I'm Wondering who is Complaining about the wait at the N.W. Clinic? I'm probably Met by my Dr. on time 99.99% of the time. Ive Never gotten in that fast using Private Doctors, I have been Going Since it opened. They have takenGreat Care of my Needs. Like anyplace they do get Busy
Do not seek care at this facility if you have mental health needs. The front desk staff are worthless and have no compassion. Oh, you need an appointment, oh well. Called to reschedule and they put me on 5 min hold and I realize the time I meed to reschedule wont work because I have my little one, he comes back in the line and I apologize and he gets attitude and says, "we have nothing else". That is a superb mental health clinic!
