The gal in the shoe dept provided me with exceptional service. Now I had to ask for assistance in the purse dept. I was waiting & waiting & nothing. I asked another lady nearby & she called over the lady who was supposed to be in the purse dept. The lady who works purses had been talking to another lady in a different dept just in front of purses. This means she saw me & purposely ignored me. Once she walked over to assist me, she was friendly. Too little too late. I was already perturbed. I do not know why the leather bags had scratches on them. I wanted a natural leather bag but I want to put the scratches on my own bag. I am not going to pay full price for a bag with scratches. I’ve bought natural leather bags without scratches so you can’t tell me that’s how they come. These bags just haven’t been taken care of to avoid the scratches. Overall my experience was good. It could’ve been better. I don’t like waiting especially when there were no other customers there with me.
It's been my go to for specific occasion clothing/dresses, skincare, all perfume, shoes, jewelry, gifts, and more since Macy's left the mall ages ago. Even before I loved Dillards, but it was always pricier than Macy's- with little to no sales on 'current' items, fragrance, skincare/makeup, etc. Love the quality, variety, and style of: clothing, perfume, accessories, and home goods, from infant to elderly! Customer service is typically positive and very responsive; unfortunately, the skincare/ makeup customer service has weakened the past 5-10 years. I used to know most employees I bought so much so frequently, but anymore, I'm lucky to find someone that's passionate about their role... or anyone at all. It's not the same feel or quality of customer careimo, and selection of items seems to have decreased... with no willingness to assist you in getting it from another Dillard's... even after inquiring and explaining inability to do so.
Another of the surviving stores in West Ridge Mall. Dillard's carries a decent selection of clothing and accessories. Typical department store offerings. The staff are friendly and the shopping experience is pleasant enough. Definitely a decent place for clothes shopping and worth stopping into, if you're in the mall.
I like that the sales associates here are very attentive and are actively asking shoppers if they need any assistance or have questions, however, it’s a bit too much I’ve found. Sometimes I just want to look around alone and constantly being asked if I need help is too much. They have plenty of clothing items here, just as any Dillards does. It is on the expensive side however their clothing does also seem to be higher quality than most other clothing stores in Topeka.
Why there not on top of things anymore changing rooms use to be clean, the carpet use to stay clean and all the glass doors nasty with finger prints what happen are you all about to close down? Get it together!!!
The ladies at the men's cologne counter were awesome. I couldn't remember the name of a cologne I had tried, so they narrowed it down and made me a sample to take home. They ended it getting it right. They took excellent care of me, and I couldn't have been happier with my other purchases. I wish every shopping experience could be that delightful. Thank you, ladies.
Staff were scarce, & some were new enough they didn't know for sure where the dept we asked about was located. Pleasant, though.
If I do not receive my check, I will be calling the Better Business Bureau the department of labor in every news network possible and I will let everybody know on every social media platform that you guys are keeping funds from peoples checks. I know you don’t have any customers there but that’s not my fault you have to stop pay your employees, so Joe Shawna human resources I’d really highly advise you guys to pay me the money that you guys owe me. The department of labor doesn’t like companies like you guys. So I will give you guys a week thank you have a nice day

A shout out to the Topeka Dillard’s employee in the children’s department, a young woman whose name I didn’t catch small print on store/name tag but she reminded me a bit of Katy Perry. Very professional, polite, she approached me to see if I was finding what I needed/wanted, asked if I wanted any assistance. I took her up on her offer to help. Glad I did. She knew her department well, where everything was, showing me clothes based on what I told her I wanted. She made my shopping fast and easy. I’d picked out one pair of shoes and she got those for me but also showed me another pair from a current popular brand and I chose those instead, I liked them better, and they were less expensive. I was in and out in 20 minutes. Got everything I wanted. A one stop shop, which I consider a huge plus. Thank you for all your help!
