Dipson Theater 6 Alva Place, Batavia Ny

I go here because it's convenient. Clean and newly decorated. I do not like the seats. I find them uncomfortable because they sit very low, even though I am only 5'2". More thought should have been put into the updating when designing the seats.

It's a great small town theater. I don't mind older seats, and the crowd was decent for a Saturday night but not overwhelming. The concession offerings are good, and there are plenty of restaurants around if you're making a night of it!

If you want instant gratification without having to drive to Geneva for a big screen movie and a family night out it's the place to be. Nice people too. Movies are limited but that's expected because they seem like a small outfit and that's a good thing.

We were not familiar where the movie theatre was. Saw the sign on Main Street and parked near the sign. It took us going in a lot of wrong doors before we figured out the entrance is behind the mall! Would have been nice to say where the entrance was on the sign. Once we found it the staff were friendly and it was nice not to have to sit through a ton of previews like at bigger theaters.

Small 2 show theater but on the cheeper end that doesn't cost and arm and a leg. I was able to take myself plus 1 adult and 2 kids for a total of less then $26 for tickets. And snacks are not that expensive either. You have to call to get the show times and what is playing.

I think it's terrible that they don't have small cups for soda for children 3-4 years old. Yes you can buy a snack package. When you are taking 6 children and order jumbo popcorn with free refill and they pick out their own candy. The little children can't hold that size cup during a two hour movie and the cup doesn't hold up. I had to search for plastic bottles in the cooler because if they drop a glass bottle and get cut I would own the theater.

Awful seats. OK for kids. Not crowded. Should be a three dollar theatre, and show second run films. Then I would go more because it is close. You can get a super comfy recliner at the three dollar place in Rochester. Just sayin.

This theatre is fine but their information is not always correct which is very frustrating. Case in point, tonight we went to watch a movie after checking their voice message. We were assured it was playing. We arrived after getting babysitters and arranging all the details parents have to arrange to find out that their voice message was wrong. As there is no way to get an employee, and their website is regularly outdated, this was really frustrating.

Poor management. Owner never cared about the patrons. The employees always wanted to sit around never doing their job and always talked down to people

Staff is super friendly! You can't beat the ticket and popcorn prices, either. The theater itself isn't in greatest Condition but I like being able to support a small theater.
