Robert Rovner, M.D. and Vikram Talwar, MD are both fellowship trained and board certified orthopedic spine surgeons specializing in the treatment of spinal conditions in pediatric, adult and elderly patients with an emphasis on the use of minimally invasive techniques. Since opening their practices in the East Bay of Northern California in 1985 and 2000,
Drs. Rovner and Talwar have performed over 7000 herniated disc surgeries, 6000 spinal fusions--cervical, thoracic and lumbar, and over 700 scoliosis correction surgeries. They've lectured and taught numerous seminars and workshops with regard to the latest techniques in spine surgery. Finally, Dr. Rovner has spent numerous years teaching orthopedic spine and neurosurgery residents / fellows his approach to spine surgery while acting as Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California Davis School of Medicine Orthopedic Spine Division.
Dr. Talwar and Dr. Rovner have recently built a new office in Danville, California and created a unique comfortable office to offer their patients the most focused, private and calming environment possible. They have numerous spine models and computers in each exam room to visually educate each patient about the condition(s) affecting their spine. Their staff engages personally with patients and will make sure patients have a cell phone number to easily correspond with the staff for important issues.
Dr. Rovner and Dr. Talwar's staff will always try to communicate with patients regarding all concerns and issues.
