Dish used to be great, but now it SUCKS. They hold the customer hostage as they negotiate contracts and take important channels OFF. Yes we the customers are pissed. Stop paying upper management until they figure it out.

I was a loyal DISH customer for approximately 10 years. Never had a late payment or was any problem at all. When I was building a home and went to cancel my service they convinced me to suspend it instead which I paid for. I was told I could call to turn the service back on. Before I could tell them to turn it back on they started billing me for one of their most expensive plans. Because I had automatic payments set up I paid for this service for 2 to 3 months before I even realized it. I never watched one second of their programming or used any of their equipment during this time. When I called to complain I was certain they would resolve this. Instead they did NOTHING. They kept every cent and when I turned off my auto payments and refused to pay the $20 they said I “owed” them they turned me into collections. I also returned all of their equipment. Seriously, DISH?!?! Thanks for repaying such a great long time customer with such amazing customer service! I’d love to leave NO stars if I could. I’m still disgusted and feel as if they stole hundreds of dollars from me!

Six weeks after my initial Dish TV installation my connection was still not working properly. This is after two home service visits and four phone calls over four hours total.  I cancelled the service but still had to pay $20/month charge for 23 months remaining on the contract. I did not think this was fair because Dish could not provide me with a system that worked correctly. I would not recommend Dish TV to anyone.

Canceling this. They have been unable to reach for over two weeks, however they had no problem doubling my charges and taking out of my account through auto pay. You need to have people that are in the USA.

I was a dish customer for three years two years and I put it on hold while I was looking for an apartment. Yes it took me a year to find my own place. When I did find an apartment they do not allow satellite dishes. It’s not my fault but yet Dish still insists on charging me for services that I can no longer use. If it was my fault I could understand it completely but I am not at fault here. The apartment complex says no satellite dishes

Customer service has dropped over the years. I have been with Dish for many  years. I had good experience with them so I kept the Serivce even though it was a bit expensive compared to competitors. Reason I chose them was their customer service. Unfortunately that is not the case anymore. Reps you speak to have an attitude where there don’t basically care and not looking to find a solution for customers. Looking to cancel only because of customer service.

On hold for a total of over an hour just trying to cancel my service. Still on hold now

We have had dish TV for a little over two years. They sent me a new receiver because the the signal kept dropping out and I would lose the TV all together. It was never resolved even with a new receiver. This went on for the whole two years. At the end of two years Dish began to charge me rental fees on both receivers even though I was not using one of them. I was never able to use the second receiver because there was no internet connection in that room which seems to be required to get all the channels.  When I decided to cancel the service it took about 45. Half of the time I was just on hold. the agent argued with me about whether I should put it on hold service orcancel it even though I was steadfast about canceling it.then two days after they promised to send me a kit to return the equipment I was charged $50 for non-return of the equipment. I had not even received the kit.

DISH keeps Spamming my US Postal Mailbox every Month with their Junk Mail Offers.  This even after numerous opt out requests via Catalog Choice each & every time another piece of their unwanted Postal Junk Mail is received in my US Postal Mailbox.  Dish is quite noticeably ignoring consumers opt out requests & continues to keep sending & mailing out they Dish Network Junk Mail Offers regardless of the consumers non interest in their Service.  I have been making opt out requests to try to stop receiving their Junk Mail in my Mailbox via Catalog Choice since, 1-15-2020.  As of today, 4/09/2020, I am still receiving not 1 but 2 pieces of their unwanted Junk Mail Offers in my US Postal Mailbox each Month in which I keep opting out of & still keep receiving no matter the number of opt out requests that I file upon receiving.  A very annoying company they are to be doing this & not listening to consumers opt out requests.

This company makes you buy a $15 box to send equipment back, even if you already have a box; refuses to send a label. Pretty great scam artists.  EDIT: The second phone call I made was MUCH better; the service tech was friendly, sweet, and helped me solve my problem.
