Very sad day. The Disney Store at Vintage Faire Mall in Modesto has closed down. Our family has many fond memories of this store. They will be greatly missed.
I don't think I will be visiting this store again. After waiting in line with a 2 year old. I was told we couldn't come in if my grandson didn't have a mask on. I explained he doesn't talk and has communication problems and putting on a mask was not going to happen. So he called the manager, at this point the line was getting longer and people were watching. After proving he wouldn't wear a mask or shield they let us in. If it wasn't for my grandson wanting Cars merchandise I would have left and made some choice words.
My daughter is Autistic and cannot wear a mask or faceshield, which didn’t seem to be a problem last time we were there. But today after waiting in line which already is very difficult for her and explaining our circumstances were still told she had to wear one. We will no longer be going to this Disney store as you guys clearly have no disregard for those with special needs.
My kids love coming in here every time we visit the mall, even if we don't actually buy anything. The cast members are always so helpful and friendly and there's a little coloring table for the kids where they have music videos or little cartoons playing. There is good sales too just have to keep an eye out and use your disney Visa if you have one because you can get a discount here for using it on purchases over 5o $
Went with the fam to get my son a toy. Used a gift card from his b-day. Staff was friendly, store was clean and well organized. Prices ranged from; fairly priced to a bit on the it's Disney stuff. Would definitely head back for another round. My kid walked out with a smile... Win win
Going to this newly expanded location is like shopping at Disneyland. It's almost as if they imported the staff directly from Anaheim. They are ridiculously helpful and friendly. I've never waited long to be served and always have been greeted with a smile.
I love the Disney store, every item is in it's place I love that the store is clean while the staff genuinely wants to help you pick out the perfect gift. I was walking around the store singing every song, that came on Disney songs are the best
Very nice store as far as cleanliness and setup go. Staff are exceptionally nice and arent too pushy about promos. Selection of goods is ok, process are a tad high, but love coming here with our 2yo and seeing her smile and enjoying some of the same stuff we grew up with. Will be back
I will not be buying disney merchandise again or coming to this store. My 2 year old son is high functioning autistic and will not even get a hair cut let alone wear a mask and face shield. When i showed him wouldnt wear the mask and freaked out over the face shield i told them i would not subject my child to this trauma and then they denied him entry. Any parents with children that are on the spectrum or other medical conditions should avoid disney as if the store is covid 19 itself
I'm giving a one star review based on my most recent visit to this Disney store. I took my 2 youngest in to buy toys. They both got smaller playhouse sets one belle and one frozen. We were in the mall and had opened them both. My girls were both wanting the frozen one. It turned into a 4 minute fight. I brought the belle toy and the receipt back into the store to exchange it for a frozen one. Julia told me that I couldnt exchange it because it was not in original packaging just how I bought it. It had not even been 10 minutes i had the box and the receipt, but since a piece of it was ripped they would not let us return it. Both myself and my daughter left disappointed.
