Division IV: Elements for Urban Living.
We are a family-owned housewares store offering home goods that are both fun & functional!
Division IV is a housewares store in the Af Bornot Dye Works Building on Fairmount Ave. Our inventory includes: bar ware, pantry items, dishes & serve-ware, small storage solutions, rugs & doormats, blankets & throws, bathroom accessories, wedding gifts, frames, wall hangings, as well as small locally made furniture and much more!
This is owner Jessie Menken’s second community based store located in the Fairmount neighborhood where she resides with her husband and children. After owning and operating Ali's Wagon at 2017 Fairmount Ave for 9 years, and watching her beloved Fairmount neighborhood grow, Jessie realized that one store could not hold everything! Ali's Wagon had truly exceeded capacity and it was time to grow along with the neighborhood. She decided to open a second retail store, Division IV, that offers housewares to complement the Philadelphia urban lifestyle. We opened our doors for the first time on May 15th, 2016.
Division IV is a nod to Hampshire College, where Jessie and her husband Nat met. At Hampshire, Division I, II and III are how the curriculum is structured. One’s life work is affectionately referred to as Division IV. We hope to be part of a meaningful collaboration between the store and the community that brings innovation, creativity, function, and comfort to homes in Philadelphia and beyond.
