I had an excellent experience with David! Start to finish. Coordinating and communications were pleasant and efficient. David was very responsive which was important. Prices were unbeatable as they were actually reasonable compared to the competitors. He went above and beyond and was very accommodating to my situation. I’m sure other folks at Doctor Screen are just as great but if you could request someone it definitely should be David. Thank you for such a smooth repair job. Will be calling you folks again for my future door and screen needs!
End of November and we decided that with our recent adoption of a couple of kittens we decided we needed to upgrade our screens to something a little more pet friendly. Initially I was thinking of an aluminum screen because of the lifespans of this material. But after considerable consideration we wanted to go with the "Pet Mesh". This is a material similar to the regular fiberglass screening, but with a special coating that will help protect the screen if pets decide to climb it. With the special coating, we wanted to see what it looked like on a few of our windows first and then decide whether to use it on the rest of the windows. Because of the darker nature of the material, we were concerned that it may be too dark in comparison. These were installed by John and they looked good. I did however after looking closer at the work, that the screens had streaks or lines that ran down the entire screen in several areas. I did call and ask about these streaks which seemed to be more noticeable now that I know it's there. I was referred to asking John about the situation and he said that it was normal. So I took it for what it was. We decided to do the rest of the windows in the same material. This was done within a couple of weeks of the first few screens which was understandable. John was again there for the installation. He works well, fast and clean. I was happy with the installation which included new pull tabs on the screens. What was pleasantly surprising with the second part of the installation was that there were no streaks in the remaining screens. So I will say that it depends on the roll that you get, whether or not it will have streaks. Now this is just for the pet mesh because of the special coating it has. The staff are very courteous and quick to respond. I would recommend this business if you need replacement screens. I have attached photos, but not sure how noticeable the streaks are compared to the one without the lines. I'm happy.
Doctor screen replaced five missing screens in my recently bought townhome. Their communication was excellent, the pricing quote was accurate, they replaced the screens in under an hour and the installer was one of the friendliest contractors I’ve ever worked with.
A pleasant experience from start to finish. John was lovely and did an excellent job getting our whole house screened quickly. I was told it would take about 2 weeks to for the screens to be built and installed but and it took less than a week. John went above and beyond to make a happy customer out of me. Thank you for your service!!
John was absolutely amazing he showed up in a timely manner was professional knowledgeable and was able to fix the broken screen door same day for a very reasonable cost. I would definitely recommend Doctor Screen for any screen door or window work you need done. Extremely happy with their work prices and communication.
We had out patio screen door replaced by Tim from Doctor Screen this week and we are extremely happy with the service. Dealing with Ann & Greg over the phone to book the appointment is so easy. They're both very friendly & professional. My husband only has praises for Tim who came to the house & did the work. Even if he had to bring the screen door with him to repair the corners, it only took an extra day to get the screen back & installed, and it looks brand new. The price is very reasonable. We will definitely recommend Doctor Screen to our friends & neighbors in Milton. THANK You for a great job!
Took a couple weeks from when I called to when an agent could come out. I needed 4 screens made up and was quoted a decent rate. I asked for a quote on a dog door to be installed on my screen door and was given a nice cost. When the agent came by, the work was done well and he was very polite, however he did not tell us that in order to install the dog door on our screen door that we had to get the screen replaced. We didnt know it was replaced until we got our invoice and it was 50% larger than what we were initially quoted. I suggest you look somewhere else if you need your screens replaced, I cant be the first person they tried to scam.
Our dog and cat had turned our sliding screen door into a dangling flap door, with holes in the screen and the wheels for the track were broken off. We had Doctor Screen in to quote and a new custom screen door was recommended. The price was very affordable, turnaround time was quick, the installation was efficient and no surprises with product, service or price! We were totally happy with the end result. Would recommend these folks 100%!
The two young gentlemen who replaced my condo balcony screen door were courteous, professional and prompt. Servicing condos seems to be an anomaly, yet somehow Doctor Screen was able to accommodate. Last summer, I had stupidly got my door caught on the wrong track and broke it. I thought the frame would need replacing, but Doctor Screen was able to salvage and reassemble it with a new screen. They also replaced the wheels and used a silicone-based lubricant, so it slides smoothly. Paying on their Intuit Quickbooks webpage was fast and easy-to-use. Thank you! I am grateful that they took the risk during COVID to help me out.
Absolute disaster, terrible experience and I would not recommend them. Read on if you're interested in knowing what happened to me. I tried to have two window screens replaced for a rental house in Hamilton last fall. However, things didn't start well as an installer showed up at my house and not the rental house, which led to a two week delay. When the installer, Bill, eventually got to the rental house, the screens couldn't be built on site because a special type of aluminum was required, which would cost more than the initial quote. My inquiry as to why the special aluminum frames were required somehow got interpreted as a desire to not go forward with the work, despite the fact that my tenant reached out to Bill on a couple of occasions to get the work done; however, Bill never responded. Fast forward to this spring where I reached out directly to the President, Greg. Initially, Greg was helpful as he reached out to Bill to resurrect the install. However, once again, Bill was unresponsive even though I was led to believe that Bill would schedule an install with my tenant. So, I called Bill directly and was told by Bill that he would get the install done and my tenant would be contacting him to find a date. Yet again, Bill went AWOL and never responded to multiple emails to my tenant. As a last gasp, I contact Greg again who said he would contact Bill and get back to me. Yep, you guessed it, Greg did not get back to me.
