Never thought I’d say this about a hospital but I love this place. The level of professionalism is something I’ve never seen in Miami. The staff is courteous, the place is impeccable. I’ve never had to wait more than 30 minutes at the lobby. Once the nurses take you they draw appropriate blood work usually. They’re patient, not moody, not in a rush. They also make you feel at ease. Once inside in the emergency room my experiences have been as pleasant as they can be when you’re ill. They take their time to listen to you and treat you appropriately. Their bedside manner is their greatest asset. Not that I wish to be back in a hospital but this is the place to be. I’ve been to several in Miami and this is the only place that gets a 5 star from me. The stations are clean, and they will not rush you out until you’re feeling well and with proper instructions.
Had a total left hip replacement performed by Dr. Van Der Ven and his absolutely amazing team. We were attended on time by very attentive, helpful, friendly, and upbeat staff at 5:30 in the morning. Their team is comprised of first rate professionals - they took their time to explain the procedure and recovery process, answer all my questions, and address my concerns. I arrived at the hospital at 5:30am and was on my way home the same day by 2:00. The team ensured I had a smooth prep, surgery, recovery, and physical therapy before departing. Each and every person we encountered at the hospital, from the second we walked in the building to the second I was helped into my car to go home, was friendly and happy to assist in any way. My daughter received timely updates via phone calls and from the attendant in the waiting room throughout each step of the procedure. I've already scheduled the right hip replacement. Highly recommended! Thank you so much!
I had hip replacement second hip. Using Dr’s hospital once again proved to have a wonderful group of professionals from the greeter security to the gentleman who wheeled me out to the car when leaving the next day. All the administrative and support staff, Dr’s and nurses were fantastic. Helpful, thoughtful and efficient. Every step of my experience exposed me to a clean, inviting environment. Each care giver gave information and time for questions, answer professionally with care. On a scale of one to ten they all deserve an 11!
Great experience. I can see it needs warm folks to make patients feel comfortable. … nice people to assist me. Although , it was never explained that it would take 2 hours in the machine to get imaging. I was sleepy and that gave me something to do. But it’s very important to let patients know ahead of time.
Came into the ER was really quick as it was empty was put in room 9 was given fluids and meds at 1 never saw Dr. Bermudez who was supposed to by my physician. Was given antibiotics and then had another doctor come in telling me I’m being admitted due to me vomiting found his name and to be Dr. Alvarado he prescribed meds through mouth even though Im no able to hold anything in, when I asked to please just send me home with the PO meds the tried to get me to sign an AMA that’s when Dr. Bermudez came in and said it’s best if I stay because of the vomiting and pain neither dr cared to hear my concerns, only saw Dr. Bermudez twice and basically not even allowed to speak when Dr. Alvarado came into the room, now I’m stuck in a hospital throwing up and in pain as I can’t take in the medicine or water. Worst experience. On top of that Dr. Alvarado put in the wrong information on the clinical notes saying I’ve been throwing up for 30 days and showed no signs of throwing up not knowing I was just given nausea medication. He also put I had a drug seeking behavior just for asking why would you give a person PO meds when they’re throwing up. Horrible doctor will never comeback to this place ever again! Expect my attorneys to call tomorrow! Nurses are really great though that’s the only thing about this hospital that is great. Woke up this morning to a new doctor Name Dr. Moral who had yet to see me but the nurse named Maria told me I was discharged and when I asked her why she said the doctor discharged me since last night without even seeing me. Tried to get me to sign an AMA and refused to do so and I left without even seeing the doctor. Went into my portal to see the discharge notes and there none. This nurse lied and is not the first time she has given me bad attention and tried to force me to take medication I can’t tolerate. Definitely will not be coming back and will be having my attorneys handle this matter.
Outstanding care. I am extremely happy about the quality of care I received from everyone at the hospital. All of the nurses were fantastic and compassionate. I can’t say enough about Dr. Suarez. He made it clear that surgery was a “last resort.” He made sure we tried everything before surgery, as opposed to other surgeons I had seen for same issue that wanted to cut right away. It has been truly a great experience with everyone at Doctors hospital…they all treated me like family. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
Great team and smooth processes the day of the surgery. But it was very stressful leading up to the event because I didn’t know and still don’t how much it will cost me and I didn’t know until the day before what time I’d be scheduled for surgery or need to arrive. They do the scheduling the day before to allow for emergencies and inpatient scheduling, which I understand. It would have been helpful to be told a minimum amount that the surgery would cost including the doctors and materials and the time range of when to expect to arrive for surgery.
I recently had corrective foot surgery with Dr. Cary Chapman at Baptist Health Doctor’s Hospital and I can honestly say that this surgeon and his staff are absolutely phenomenal! Dr. Chapman is incredibly talented, extremely knowledgeable and has such a beautiful personality and bedside manner when speaking to his patients. The entire process was so pleasant, everyone went out of their way to make you feel comfortable and before I even realized it, my surgery was successfully completed and I was on my way home! So, if you are looking for that gem of an orthopedic, look no further! Go see Dr. Cary Chapman! He and his staff are amazing!
I had a great experience @ Doctor’s Hospital from the doctors to the excellent nursing staff all assistants & administrators as well!! Definitely recommend them to all!!
Thank’s again too the team who took great care of me, the emergencies are clean, the team is careful and patient, it is sadly the second time I have to go in a few weeks but they are always making sure that you are leaving in a better shape with great practician recommendations for a follow up. As a French who has moved here recently, hospital was a worrying subject, I can tell that no one should be scared to go, either financially are being “left alone in a box” for hours, because it is the total opposite, their is always someone checking on you and they are following a program for those who can’t afford it.
