Have loved Doheny Blues Festival the last 5 years that it was on. Miss you guys terribly! Can't wait until all blues lovers are together again! Miss getting to meet artists - Beautiful Beth Hart, Beautiful and incomparable Samantha Fish, San Diego phenom Casey Hensley, North Missisippi Allstars ... miss you all!
I don't usually take the time to leave negative reviews, however on May 16 2019 I was hired by this organization to haul water with our water trucks to fill the tanks for this festival. After 8 months I have not been paid, but given the explantation by Richard Sherman that they simply do not have the money to pay their vendors for this event. I won't disclose the amount of money they owe our company but I will say its very disappointing when you are hired to do a job, provide the service, and do not get paid for your work. This rarely happens in our industry and this organization will not get serviced from our company or others that I have spoken to in hopes of saving them the same frustration I have experienced.
They could have put the portapotties NOT next to the Veterans Memorial
Very disappointing this year and last year as far as venue location . Hard to get to from parking your car and reaching venue. restrooms are now located in only one area far away at the end of a slope witch means this is not handicap accessible,how does the city allow that? There are no charging stations for handicaped people to charge their electric scooter.Big disappointment this year is that they did not provide large screen viewing. This is the first time that I have heard so many people complain about one thing or another about this venue.You can tell by the attendance this year that this location is a Big Failure I have been attending the blues fest for over 15 years now And this may be my last
My wife and I went and what a fantastic experience. Beautiful place. Got my picture taken with a bunch of police wearing an Ice Road shirt and yes I did the ice road.
Never never never never again. What a waist of money. Not about the awesome artists. The Venue, the morons with 8th grade educations that failed and somehow graduated from the California education system49 outa 50 and became mor-offs for EES... may God haveercy on any family yours start you slow human beings. Never again will I be near you or insulated by your ignorance.. I feel sorry for your company and future California...you folks have a lot to relearn about service. Dont worry lots of immigrants coming in. White flight went hurt you like half the turnout this year ..Omega and Dohent watered the drinks down enough to cover part of losses until my next 100 blogs
Doheny blues fest is the Best place on earth!! Good music right on the beach, intriguing people to mingle with everywhere you turn, wonderful food, awesome vendors, it's sooo greaaaaat.... If it were still on the beach... which it's not, so they should rename it to sea turtle fest or whereverrr it moved to. Only Eddie Vedder can afford to play on doheny beach anymore. Come back blues fest, come back!
One of the best blues concerts I've ever attended!
Fantastic music at the original venue. 2018 new venue was terrible. Not Oh you acoustically correct The sound excaped venue it is not a natural bowl shape as is the original venue.
Line up was great, We wish it was back on the beach. Do not like the new venue.
