Dropped in this morning for a few basics and reminded of how grateful we are to have DG here: good selection, varied merchandise, clean shop, GREAT PRICING for important items and I feel safe here. The customers are usually friendly and will chat; we all agree we love the music and vibe! The staff although there are not enough are always attentive and helpful. Woodbury has changed so much; in many local businesses now if you are not 'known' you are truly invisible. Not here! Thank you DG for keeping essentials at can-do prices; please hire more folks. 07-12-23
This store was an absolute disaster. The products were scattered and the aisles were messy. Also they won’t let customers use the bathroom anymore, and everything there is expensive junk….. just go to a real store. There’s no reason to waste your time here.
Its a mess everytime i walk in here.. aisles are closed off with "lane closed" sign's because theres boxes & boxes piled up & not put away. Its hard to get around & definitely not able to move around if u need a cart! 0/10 would not recommend until they get more help
The women working there were so kind and funny. The good review ends there. When you first walk in there is a TOWER of goods that need to be put out on the floor. Anyone standing at the register cannot see the floor. Which not only is a hazard, but impacts customer service as well as theft prevention. Almost every single aisle had large carts full of unopened merchandise- while the shelves barely had items on them. Not only is it impossible to pass but they are blocking large sections of items you can’t shop. This is a fire hazard as well as a loss in revenue. The aisles you can shop are bare while boxes filled with merchandise sit unopened while simultaneously blocking and preventing customers from shopping large areas. This is not the first time I have encountered this in the store. It is almost every single time I go in. They were even shut down for a time due to this being a fire hazard. Maybe you need a couple night shifts a week to get the merch out. You may pay time and a half but you will make more with products out and aisle clear. Again- the women were lovely!
I work there for an short time as an Assistant Store Manager customers complain to me about the Store Manager Roberta Grady saying that she is mean,rude, and racist that she don't need to work there they also say that the workers are polite, helpful that they complain that they couldn't find anything, couldn't walk through the aisles customers asked to use the bathroom I had to turned them away because we didn't have an public bathroom
Extremely upset and disappointed. I go in for one item and find that you have 4 aisles blocked off with carts of freight. That's ridiculous and unnecessary. I needed an item down one of the blocked off aisles and just decided to leave empty handed. I've never seen a store do that and it's awful. I'll never go back I'll drive the 30 minutes to Walmart for what I need next time. What a joke.
THE PROFESSIONAL, HELPFUL, COURTEOUS, FRIENDLY Staff, CHRISTIAN should be a MODEL used for ALL DOLLAR GENERAL STORES !!. I was in the store on 02/24/22. He had to handle the register, Stock shelves, and help customers. "Christian of All Hats". Most people his age would bail and get another job, easier, paying more. I am inspired by him and I'm twice his age. Sadly I can't say that has been my experience with other staff or other Dollar General Stores. I will shop in DG again because of the service that is given by CHRISTIAN.
I come in the store atleast 3x a week because it's convenient since it opened. I will admit this place is great and the smiling faces make my day. The employees always take the time out of the day to ask how I am and talk to me.
It’s dark and creepy, no one is ever friendly and most recently I was flat out ignored at the counter while they were having a conversation and then rung out in silence when they finished. I hate this place.
This store location is clean, has a variety of things, orderly and nice to look at. Very convenient when I need to grab the kids some cold medicine or milk for breakfast in the morning - especially when I remember later in the evening and everything else nearby is closed. The employees are extremely nice and accommodating, much more so than any other store I’ve been in in this small town. I’m happy to see there be a little change to our lineup of stores. People saying that it’s an eye sore or that it’s ruining the town need to take a hard look at the busted up gas station, greenhouse and ramshackle house a little ways down the street.
