We liked it, but the service was quite slow. I believe we were in about 1:30 pm on a Saturday. My husband's food was better than the shrimp tacos I ordered. The shrimp were tiny, kind of chewy and not a lot of flavor. Not much flavor in the "house" hot sauce either. I feel like if I had ordered something else, I'd have liked it better. Obviously I'll change my review next time if I have a better experience.
This was a wonderful dining experience. The food was delicious. Tortillas served with hot and cool salsa. Then my Don Pedro Combination gave me a little bit of everything. The service was excellent as well. I am glad we found this restaurant. Add it to my list of favorites. April 1, 2022... A nice place for groups. Quick service and the crispy tacos are great.
Been coming to Don Pedros since my high school years, 20 years ago. Birthday's, Celebrations, Holidays, nights out with friends, it was the perfect first date spot that I took my wife to as we sat through a pitcher of the Sangria for hours during a snowstorm and has continued to produce memories with friends and family. The creativity of creating an outdoor experience during Covid showed me exactly why this place has survived so many years. The drinks are phenomenal. Friends will agree that they have never had Sangria the way that Don Pedros makes it and is always a highlight when they come to town. The quesadillas, crispy tacos, fajitas, we order it all so everyone can get a taste. The staff is just as glad to see us as are to see them. If you want good food, culture and atmosphere, I highly recommend it as a great place to support, especially if you live in the community.
The moment you walk in you’re greeted with good service all the employees are very nice and they quick and fast. The food is amazing here. The drinks are phenomenal. It’s a good place to go have some drinks, eat some tacos, a take some shots and watch the games at. The homemade sangria is on another level. All in all it’s a good vibe to be at.
If you are looking for a place where it has all the good things food,drinks,music and service at one spot. Don Pedro’s will offer you the best professional friendly service, quality and flavorful food, and an outstanding atmosphere to enjoy a special dinning experience for a date, celebrating an occasion or simply loving to discover a wonderful place for amazing experience. This would be one of the best restaurants to try. Thumbs up for the staff and owner for making this place one of the best restaurants on the south side of Chicago
Great authentic food..very fresh..very tasty. Servers are very friendly and knowledgeable of dishes and drinks. Great atmosphere. Just recently went on $5 Wednesday Margarita..yes!!!
My favorite restaurant ever!!! We drive almost an hour for the best authentic Mexican restaurant around. Food is quality and delicious! Drinks are equally phenomenal! You won’t be disappointed. Also, kid friendly and we love the wait staff!!!
I have been visiting this establishment for 20+ years for breakfast, dinner and nightlife. I have always been impressed by the attentive staff throughout the years. Ownership deserves a lot of credit for the consistency of the staff the past 20+ years. Furthermore, I want to commend Don Pedro’s for always working with the community. Don Pedro’s has supported the patrons that have supported them by allowing patrons to host their charitable events there. Appreciation has been a 2-way street with Don Pedro’s. They are a pillar of the community and I wish them well for many more years.
Been coming to this restaurant since it’s open. And never let me down. Must try the Chicken enchiladas poblanos. Great family owned restaurant and great ambience. Also inquire about your private party’s. Great place to gather the family privately.
Been going to this family owned and operated restaurant for over 25 years. The food is always amazing and the drinks are great. Never a disappointment when you walk into Don Pedro's. Whenever I'm in the south suburbs I try to stop by and get my taco fix. My go to is always the crispy tacos. Best Margarita's around.Food: 5/5
