Dong Po Chinese/Japanese Restaurant

The restaurant was extremely clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely friendly as we chose to dine-in. The server, Summer, was quick and accurate. She was very attentive, but gave us our space to enjoy our dining experience. The food was amazingly delicious. The meat wasn't greasy or oily. The vegetables were crisp and delightful. The portion size was very nice for the price. The sushi was high quality and well made. Nothing tasted fishy. It all seemed extremely fresh and flavorful. This experience tonight made me overjoyed that we decided to dine out instead of just grab take-out somewhere. Dong Po, you've ruined us for Chinese anywhere else, because they simply do not compare to you. Your restaurant was an epic delight and we hope for many many more experiences with you.

Food was tasty and had good flavor! Liked the general tso chicken cause it was not much batter/flour and more chicken. Fish was ok cause the sauce for it lacked good flavor. Alittle pricey for some of dishes but overall, good food and service.

The food is delicious & the service is friendly, but the environment is not clean enough. I believe it is mostly the old, filthy carpeting which smells. That ruins an otherwise “go to” often restsurant for me. The whole dining room needs to be deep cleaned, & either new carpeting or even better just some new flooring.Food: 5/5

This place is pretty much my go to for Chinese food. Everything is pretty on par and the prices are good. However, I did have one instance where I was actually a little thrown back. I had never gotten delivery before. I called into the store to put in my order so that I could tell them exactly what I wanted. The food came exactly as I had ordered it. However, I was a little thrown off by one thing. The delivery driver showed up and he was early! That’s a good thing by the way. However, he handed me my receipt and I put my signature down, and I went to put my hand in my pocket to tip him and before I can pull the money out, he asked me “so no tip for the driver?“ I was literally pulling the money out as he asked me that. What a very uncomfortable position to be in. I may go back to just picking it up.

Dong Po is still our favorite Chinese Restaurant in Appleton. Cozy, warm & comfortable setting. Always excellent service. This time it was provided by Summer. We start out with Lettuce Wraps for our appetizer. We share our meal so our choice of soup is the Egg Flower & the main entree the Happy Family which is served on a sizzling platter. Consists of Shrimp, Scallops, Beef & Chicken with Chinese Vegetables in a brown gravy. Plenty fo 2. Many other choices with Japanese & also a made to order Sushi Bar.

We had a wonderful server who was a ttentive but not over bearing our entire meal. The food was excellent and the prices were great. I've ordered take put many times but honestly, the sit down experience was 5x betterFood: 5/5

Great overall experience. The service was really great. The food was outstanding. My egg drop soup was so good, my shrimp and chicken stir fry was outstanding, and really good Chinese food. The atmosphere was very nice.Food: 5/5

First time customer for a pickup order. Met with ridiculous procedure to identify myself as the purchaser. Employee and then manager were rude and did nothing to ease the situation. I wouldn't let a stray dog eat in this place. Worst restaurant experience of my entire 55 plus year life! go to Min DU instead.Food: 3/5
