Everyone knows this place. I was looking for a wine. It was out of stock. "I'll get it for you tomorrow " was the reply. That's the level of customer care. A small hometown food store with an in house restaurant you must try.
They have the BEST meats! All are farm fresh, not shipped. There is a butcher. THe cafe serves wonderful food at an amazing price. They have meat bundles that are competitively priced.
A great little store. Better prices than the big stores and I found things I was looking for that weren't available elsewhere. And my mom loves the meat department.
It is such a cool store. They have so many different and local items that regular stores do not have. I highly recommend it. They are famous for their meat at the meat counter. They also have really good chicken salad.
No customer service here! I arrived at the store at 9:25. I went straight to the meat counter. I asked for 3 - 1 pound packages of ground chuck as I always did. The worker said that he couldn't do that because the butcher was gone and the machines were cleaned. He informed me that they had the ground chuck in 2 lb containers. I asked him if he could make 4 - 1 lb packages out of the 2. He said that he could not do that. Again he said that the butcher was gone. I told him he didn't need a butcher, just separate the meat! I went to the cash register and complained while I was rung up. The cashier called the manager over. She told me the same thing! She said they had to be out of the store at 10:05. It would not have taken long to separate the meat. I left the store at 9:35. They had plenty of time!!!! I was upset, so I paid for the meat and left. I needed 4 other items, so I bought those items from kroger on my way home, since Dot's didn't want my business!!!
I can say this place becomes your home market you always can find what you need people are so nice to provide service n I can't forget the bullpen food is awesome and for an accessible price. They have some killer burgers.
Feels much like a Farmer's market. The meat and deli selection is always great! Highly recommend when you are weary of the big box grocery stores.
