Great Location. Disappointing Experience I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at your hotel from and I must express my deep disappointment in the level of service and accommodations provided during my stay. First and foremost, the unfriendly and unprofessional behavior of your staff was disheartening. From the moment I arrived, I was met with indifference and a lack of basic courtesy. The front desk staff seemed disinterested in providing assistance or answering my questions, making me feel unwelcome from the start and refused to answer any questions so that I could extend my stay. Throughout my stay, their lack of attentiveness and dismissive attitude further compounded the issues I encountered. Additionally, I was dismayed to witness the inadequate efforts made by the hotel to ensure a peaceful and comfortable stay. The constant banging on doors and screaming from the housekeeping staff was disruptive and highly inappropriate, especially to my room, when I had just arrived. It was truly alarming to witness such unprofessional behavior and a complete lack of consideration for the guests' wellbeing and comfort. Furthermore, it was evident that little effort was made to control the noise levels in the hotel. Children were allowed to run freely and loudly in the hallways, contributing to an overall chaotic and uncomfortable atmosphere. This disregard for basic etiquette and noise control greatly diminished the quality of my stay. Lastly, I was disappointed to find multiple broken items like the elevator emergency box, amongst others. Not only did this inconvenience me, but it also demonstrated a lack of attention to maintenance and overall cleanliness. It is essential for a hotel to provide functional and well-maintained facilities for its guests, and the state of my room fell far short of expectations. Dirty walls and trash upon arrival. I believe it is crucial for you to be aware of these issues as they significantly impacted my overall experience at your hotel. As a loyal customer of various hotels, I have come to expect a higher level of service and accommodations, which I unfortunately did not find during my stay with you. While writing this email serves as a means of expressing my disappointment, I genuinely hope that you take my feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements to enhance the experiences of future guests. I trust that you will thoroughly investigate these matters and address them promptly to prevent such unfortunate incidents from recurring. I sincerely hope that steps will be taken to rectify these issues and restore the reputation of your establishment. I aim to provide an impartial review of my recent stay. Firstly, I'd like to acknowledge the hotel's attractive location. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and I appreciated the presence of four king-size pillows. The warm cookie offered at check-in was a delightful touch, and having a large TV at the foot of the bed was certainly a plus. On the surface, the room appeared clean. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed issues like toothpaste on the bathroom wall and grime on the back of the bathroom door. It was evident that the room required a thorough, deep cleaning. My most significant concern with this hotel was its housekeeping policy. Upon check-in, I was informed that because of my four-day stay, I would not receive daily housekeeping services. Instead, I was advised to visit the front desk for any necessities. Given the substantial cost of over $300.00 US per night during the Dreamforce conference, this policy was perplexing and inconvenient. After long days at the conference, returning to a refreshed and restocked room would have greatly enhanced my experience. Regrettably, due to these issues, I will be attending Dreamforce next year but will not be choosing this hotel as my accommodation. Noteworthy details: Not the place to stay during Dreamforce.
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Doubletree. It is a perfect location and has a beautiful view. We were met by a very friendly woman at the front desk, who explained where to park and the amenities of a hotel. The weather was beautiful, so we took a walk around the marina and the adjacent park. Without knowing the area, I might not have walked to the park as a single female, but I had my son with me, and it was a great walk. I felt safe. After reading previous reviews, I was a little scared to see the cleanliness in my room. However, my room was clean and smelled fresh. As an added security, I always Lysol wipe my room anyway, so it just felt extra clean. The only thing I noticed was the elevator in building three could have been cleaned and wiped free of smudges… but I’m sure it is hard to keep clean with people in and out of it all day. We visited both the bar and the restaurant. My drink was great and I appreciated the bartenders giving me their honest opinions about a drink I asked about. We sat outside and enjoyed the view for dinner. Our waitress was attentive and our meals were good. Overall, we had a enjoyable stay and will definitely stay again when in the areas.
Great hotel property tucked into the Berkeley Marina. Clean, spacious parking. Nice hotel lobby entrance with an information/entertainment kiosk. Welcoming outdoor areas with loungers and fire pits footsteps from the marina and recreational boat tours. Scenic, clear at least 2 mile or more lap around the marina. Restaurants on site and helpful, accommodating staff. Rooms: Large, spacious rooms each with a balcony and chairs facing the marina and bay. Walkability: Not much around outside of the bay, marina, walking trails, hotel and several nearby restaurants with 1-2 miles, walking. Food & drinks: On site restaurant, Skates ans at least one other restaurant available around the marina. Noteworthy details: Beautiful property lots of outdoor entertainment opportunities.
First off ... I was at this property for an event for my work and the rooms were clean or appeared clean but ants were everywhere in the sheet and throughout the room. I had colleagues that were actually charged a fee for not eating at the over priced hotel restaurant even though it was closed or parts of the day. The banquet manger was less than friendly and completely rude. I am a Diamond with Hilton properties and this was completely unacceptable and I will absolutely take my business elsewhere . Rooms: Low budget Hilton property with less than helpful staff Noteworthy details: NONE
The views are appealing, the staff are very helpful. They gave great cookies. They have a Starbucks coffee bar downstairs priced around 3ish - $5 per cup. They have cold brew and nitro cold brew. The views are amazing and the weather is wonderful. They have a gym and laundry facility, and a pool on site.Rooms: 4/5
The service was good they give free warm cookies! They are pet friendly, the rooms need a little upgrade. The carpet was very dirty. The breakfast was great! Overall I had a good experience. Rooms: They need to be updated they look very over used.
