Thad Doughty graduated Cum Laude from Saint Leo University which is outside of Tampa, Florida in 1991 and went on to graduate from Mercer University Law School in 1994. Thad served his country in the United States Air Force and the United States Army Reserves.
Prior to opening his own law firm in April of 2000, He served as a State Prosecutor in Aiken and Berkeley Counties. He also served as a Public Defender in Aiken County. He has also served as JAG Officer performing duties as both a Military Prosecutor and Defense Counsel. Thad is licensed in South Carolina State and Federal Courts. He has been a certified Federal Criminal Attorney since 2001 and has twenty-three years of experience.
Thad practices in the areas of State and Federal Criminal Law, Personal Injury, Workman’s Compensation, Civil and Probate Law. He has extensive trial experience having tried several cases as a Prosecutor, Public Defender, JAG Officer and Private Attorney.
