I do not know what all the negative reviews were about... this place was amazing. The resort is gorgeous and is a gorgeous place to watch the sunset every morning. The rooms are beautiful and I love the screened in porches on them. The breakfast selection was awesome and being able to sit and eat while watching the cove and ocean was amazing. Snappers next door is beautiful all lit up at night and the live music was a nice touch and added a nice vibe. I am a photographer and I loved sitting out there on the little dock in the mornings and drinking my coffee while photographing the sunrise. There is a Pelican that frequents the cove and lots of little lizards running around. The pool area was lovely as was the hot tub at night. My ONLY suggestions for this place to be even better would be to heat the pool in the evenings and add more parking. If you like to travel around and come back in the evenings you will be hard pressed to find a parking spot if the rooms are full. But these are minor issues, and overall we absolutely loved our time at Dove Creek. We would definitely return and may in the future!
Had an amazing stay, great value for money. Great location, snappers is a major plus, continental breakfast is a bonus as well. Our first night was rough, the AC wasn't working properly. In the morning after, Andrea the hotel manger was so attentive and accommodating, so kind and patient. She moved us rooms and helped with everything. Recommend to stay if you're planning to stay outdoors and enjoy the keys. This is not a 5 star resort but it was perfect for our needs.
Wow, what a completely different experience we had on the last night of our bicycle ride from Key West to Key Largo! Alex was very accommodating at check in and the room was spacious, cold and adorable. Huge screened in porch, nice pool area and welcoming breeze. Snappers next door had great food and a live band that you could hear from the lanai but ended at 10pm so didn’t disturb anything. Will definitely consider this hotel again whether passing through or our entire next vacation. Keep in mind everything is a little run down at some point every year from a harsh Florida climate. Take it in stride when you come to visit. The comfy bed, cold AC, nice breakfast spread, next door restaurant and peaceful environment should help you overcome any of the considerations mentioned in other reviews.
We just returned from our second stay at Dove Creek. We first stayed in December 2021 and decided to stay again for a dive trip we had planned. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The pool was clean and the perfect temp to cool off after spending some time in the sun. There is also an amazing sunrise each morning over the bay. We originally planned to only stay a few days before heading to Southwest Florida , but Hurricane Ian caused us to pivot. The staff were amazing ensuring we could continue our stay through the hurricane and help ensure we were comfortable through the couple days of inclement weather. We can't speak highly enough of the staff and property and will definitely be back for a 3rd stay!
Stayed from Jan 16 to the 19Th Great stay Clean place with nice pool however its not heated which wasn't a big deal for me ! The beds were Comfortable. Benefit having Snappers on the same property is a plus! Bikes worked great Kayak was fun ! Hot tub was relaxing! Very Affordable ! Thanks Dove Creek!Rooms: 5/5
The view from our room was breathtaking! The staff was friendly and helpful! The room was cozy and comfortable. They offered more than expected for breakfast! The whole resort has a beachy feel. The other Ignore the negative reviews this place is awsome and I would definitely stay here again!Rooms: 5/5
This was our first visit to Dove Creek Resort and we're lived it, definitely with of give stars. The location was perfect and easy to find. The staff treated us as though we have been coming here for years. We will be making plans to come here again and again for vacation. My wife and I were so pleased that we're going to make this place out permanent vacation spot. Thank you Dove Creek for all you do and expect to see us in the coming years.
Staff were all friendly. Stopped for one night, stayed on for three. Excellent continental breakfast. Pool clean and warm. Property overall is maintained well. Room was clean, and cool a/c. Will definitely return.
Rooms are great, really clean, beds are super comfortable, great breakfast, we love the location, able to bring our boat and best of all the Staff is amazing! We have stayed at this property many times, it is our absolute favorite. Melondy & Joe Fort Lauderdale, FL
Important: At the beg. of Jan 2023 we booked our stay to take advantage of a 30 percent off special and then proceeded to rent our car, reserve parking at airport, reserve a hotel at the airport, secure someone to take care of our animal, moved appointments to prepare for our vacation which was to begin on Jan 24. A week and a half after we had received our confirmation we receive a phone call from Dove Creek to tell us we can't have the room and that Wyndham Hotels had taken over booking and were double booking. This was terrible news for us and it took us 4 hours on the internet to find substitute lodging that checked all the boxes for us. I would call them to keep confirming your reservation so you don't have this happen to you. We have a lot of time and money invested so we hope the alternate booking will work out. We have stayed many times at Dove Creek so we were surprised to be treated this way and not offered any restitution for the trouble this caused their good customer over the years.
