'Like' us to get the quickest updates on the upcoming downtown North Adams summer events including art happenings, exhibitions, and musical performances!
Each summer from late June through the end of September DownStreet Art creates a wide program of visual and performing art events, including exhibitions, video screenings and site-specific installations in downtown North Adams. A post-industrial city in the Berkshire Hills of Massachusetts, North Adams began its cultural revitalization with the opening of the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA) in 1999.
During the last Thursdays of each month, all DownStreet Art galleries and the venues stay open late along with stores, restaurants and businesses with specials.
DownStreet Art is a public art project designed to revitalize downtown North Adams. By harnessing existing art organizations and events and transforming vacant and open spaces into art destinations, DownStreet Art defines North Adams as a cultural haven, driving tourists and community members.
