This aquarium is really special to me. I just love going here. The sturgeon window is my favorite, I love watching these beautiful creatures fly through the water. The animals are well cared for! They're not falling ill or being injured in the enclosures. It's clear the team is very concerned about their health, water quality, and environments. The exhibits are all well designed, allowing for clear, comprehensive and, in some exhibits, really unique views. Most window heights are easily accessible to wheelchair users and children. Two tanks have a step to reach them and the wharf area tanks might be a bit too high to be completely accessible I haven't used my chair at the aquarium so I can't be exact. The educational signage is really well done, particular in that first room that focuses on Colorado wildlife. My only complaint is that most tanks don't have signs showing who everyone in the tank is. I've only visited at night because I love how intimate the lighting is when it's dark outside. It's also much quieter at the end of the night. The only downside is that the otters and tigers are usually sleeping by then :[ Just found out about the sensory days, I'm really looking forward to being able to visit when the big sounds and such aren't going.
We had a blast at the aquarium. We stayed for dinner and the food was as you would expect for an “attraction” restaurant: service was attentive and we were surprised by a mermaid show. The kids did not want to leave! After diner we had to walk through the loop another dozen or so times. Make sure you feed the rays! One staff member, Ethan, was particularly memorable. He engaged with the kids and was happy to share his incredible knowledge of all things. He really was the cherry on top to make our experience the best. Cheers to you Ethan! We appreciated your time.
Great aquariums with lots of unusual fresh & salt water life. These top-notch aquariums are becoming my favorite attractions in various cities I visit. The kids were freaking out with excitement earplugs helped: recommended
The aquarium is very small they said that it takes about 3 hours to walk through and we were done in an hour including two people on wheelchairs we were disappointed that that's all there was it could be so much better and bigger and I don't understand why it's not in such a big city I would recommend the Albuquerque zoo is better and the Albuquerque aquarium is twice as good as the one is in Colorado so I was disappointed but we did have a good time while we were there but it was just not appropriate for the pay to get in for what we got to do! And if you're ever in Columbus go to their zoo and aquarium the best I've ever been to the best aquarium I've been to was in New Orleans! So all in all it was a good time we were just disappointed that there wasn't more to see!
The aquarium experience was lovely. We bought tickets ahead. You give the people at the entry your first name and they give you your wristbands! Super easy! Going inside, they ask if you want to take pictures - unless you plan on paying $20-30 for one photo at the end, I recommend skipping it. They don't tell you the prices at the entry, and even downloading a photo is priced. As for the aquarium itself, we had a great time. They have a huge variety of sea creatures, frogs, birds, and even two tigers! The walkway makes seeing everything very easy and we enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the tanks. We did also take time at the end to pet both the rays and the jellyfish. The handlers were very kind and instructed us on how to touch the animals without hurting them. Overall a very pleasant visit!
Had a wonderful time in the aquarium. We had a meal in the restaurant right next to the aquarium glass and ate as sharks and other fish passed by. Watching people learn to dive was entertaining. They are open until 10PM thats a huge plus. Spend about 1 hour if you only see the exhibits without animal interactions. Our toddler enjoyed his visit throughout, so so for adults. But the apir of juvenile tigers were a site to see. Even though they were confined than being in the wild or at least in a big enclosure kinda puts the perspective off about zoos. They are open until 10PM.
Its a great place for kids. We loved seeing the sea life beneath our feet and above our heads and going through the tunnel. We felt it was pricey for the size of the place plus parking. We all loved this aquarium, especially my daughter! I really enjoyed the first part with the freshwater species and how viewable everything was. We had a great time feeding the stingrays and touching moon jellies. There was such variety from exhibit to exhibit. Tigers at an aquarium was certainly new a one and interesting to see and I'm always happy to see reptiles that don't look sickly. A heads-up for visitiors: it is quite busy so expect to be shoulder to shoulder in many parts of the aquarium.
Always a fun experience. Timed tickets, many different aquatic animals and some that aren't tiger. Tons of added experiences - I recommend the 4D movie! Tickets are timed entry up to 30 minutes from your booked time so plan ahead. You can go diving here as well. Feed the rays at the end! It's so much fun! There is a designated parking lot across the street as well.
