Dr. Rodriguez has excellent bedside manners. He treats his patients with respect and dignity. He asks questions and listens. He takes his time to get to know his patients. His staff is professional and friendly. They actually care about their patients and that means a lot to our family.
He’s been a friend of the family for years and is super welcoming and nice, got my lab work there was super amazing. And the nurses were awesome
Dr Mark Rodriguez is a wonderful doctor he is very caring patient and kind. I recently had a battle with COVID that was pretty bad not only did he treat me with medication he called daily to check on me which really means a lot. I definitely recommend him to anybody. Thanks for being such a great doctor!
Dr. Rodriguez is absolutely wonderful. He is kind, patient, understanding and disarming. He is also an amazing listener, which is an important trait for a doctor to have, but sadly many do not. My husband and I felt completely at ease during his first visit, we went over everything-I mean everything. It was at least an hour long and at no time did we feel rushed, in fact Dr. Rodriguez shared details from his own life and experiences throughout the appointment. It felt less like a doctor's appointment and more like sitting down and visiting with a friend. My husband and I feel that there is nothing we couldn't share and discuss with Dr. Rodriguez. He listens without judgement and his answers are filled with knowledge and compassion. I'm actually jealous that my husband gets to have Dr. Rodriguez as his primary and I have to go to the VA. :
This is the most unprofessional doctor's office I've ever been to. Doctor Rodriguez is cold and seems genuinely irritated with his patients. He is almost never there. Heather Miles pretends to be nice to pacify you but seems just as uncaring. The staff doesn't pick up the phone. If your lucky enough to get someone on the phone they're rude. I had a pelvic exam and pap smear with Heather Miles and during she wiped her hand ON MY MEDICAL GOWN and I never received the results until I had to physically come into the office and ask for them. My results came back abnormal and I was never notified. The staff has also given me test results back in the hallway of the exam rooms where all the other patients and staff could hear my personal information. I set up an appointment to receive the hpv vaccine and when I arrived they said they didn't have the HPV vaccine because they needed to order it and I would need to set up another appointment to actually receive the vaccine. So I would be charged for the copay of two doctor's visits instead of one. When I asked the staff why it wasn't ordered before I arrived they said "we thought you'd want to discuss your options". I didn't take time off of work and pay copay to hang out with my doctor.
Dr. Rodriguez has been my family Dr., for 10 years, and he has taken care of my parents for almost 20 and now handles my adult daughter's health care. I highly recommend Dr. Rodriguez. He explains things clearly, listens to all my questions, and never makes you feel as he's trying to rush you. He truly take care of his patients with a "whole body/health" perspective. I placed a great deal of trust in him..
Nurse Practitioner Miles gave me a wonderful experience here for around two years, taking the time to talk to me about medical results and to inform me about any medications I was prescribed, and made sure to stay aware of how those medications were effecting me. Due to scheduling issues, I had an appointment with Dr. Rodriguez a couple of months back. He had terrible bedside manner-very abrasive, changed one of my prescriptions without taking the time to explain why, gave me a combination of prescriptions which are dangerous when taken together according to the FDA, and I left the appointment in tears because I had an anxiety attack the whole appointment. I had a second appointment a couple of weeks later, hoping to leave this time feeling like he had heard me out about why I felt I was doing better with my previous set of prescriptions, and to feel like I had been properly informed if he still felt that my medicine should have been changed. Unfortunately things went pretty much the same, except he gave me a two week prescription instead of a month long, telling me I could call for another prescription if I needed it. I did need it, but was told I could not get another prescription, even though I took the amount that was specified on the bottle. I called on October 7th around 2:30 to make an appointment with NP Miles, was put on hold, then for some reason put on the phone with Dr. Rodriguez. When I told him I called to make an appointment with the NP and must have been transferred on accident, and he asked me why I wasn’t making an appointment with him. Uncomfortable, I told him something about having been with Miles for so long. He kept asked again, so I told him I was uncomfortable telling him and didn’t want to insult him. He wouldn’t let it go, so I told him his bedside manner was not a right fit for me, and that I had an anxiety attack both times I saw him and why. He accused me of taking the medicine he took me off of because I told him I took them for a reason other than why they were prescribed to me, when what I actually told him was that when I took it, I had pain relief as a side effect. I can understand how he may have misunderstood what I said- I cannot understand how he never made an attempt to clarify with me, and decided to instead change my medication, then call me about it two months later when I hadn’t brought it up and was calling for an appointment. I wasn’t even calling about the last half of the month where I was out of medicine when I needed it- it wasn’t worth the anxiety to see or talk to him again. He kept interrupting and talking over me until I had to raise my voice and ask him to be quiet and give me a chance to speak for myself. I explained the miscommunication he was still trying to argue with me and then told him it was upsetting that he hadn’t brought it up professionally and before now, and asked him about the medicine he said he would, and then didn’t, refill. He said he said no such thing. This was the medicine I realized was dangerous together, so I don’t know if he really didn’t remember or if he was trying to cover for a mistake. This went on for a while longer, until I asked once again if he would transfer me back to the desk. Halfway through the word “transfer” he hung up on me and transferred me. I decided to make an appointment with Miles to wrap things up and then find another doctor. Speed up to now, I’ve recently realized that I didn’t get refills like I usually got at the end of my appointments. I called and was informed that they would request it, no problem, even after I told them that I would be looking for a new doctor. Called over five times that week, and other than a missed call from them that I followed up on, I didn’t get a call about it. Some meds were sent to the pharmacy, but two were not, one of which is extremely necessary for me to have for emergencies. Today I called a couple of times, then was called back and told that Dr. Rodriguez wouldn’t fill them, regardless of me having had an appointment under a month ago. Wish I had waited and seen Miles.
I am a new patient and really liked Dr. Rodriguez. The page says that he is an OB/GYN but he is a family doctor. I felt very comfortable talking to him about my problems and he was very attentive. He explained his diagnosis and gave me a few statistics as well as thoroughly explained the medication he put me on. I definitely got the vibe that he was listening to everything that I said and very empathetic too. There's not many doctors like that left. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. Just found my new family doctor!
I've been going to Dr Rodriguez for 27 years. He is the only physician I'll see for my health. I drove from 1996-2012 from Austin to see him. Now I'm back in SA and he's 9 minutes away. Great Diagnostician! Takes time to talk with patients and refers when necessary. My family of 9 all see him. I trust him with my life. Great doctor!
Dr Rodriguez has been my family practitioner for almost 15 years. I've always been pleased with him and his office. Everyone there is very nice and the Dr is very knowledgeable and kind. I have referred many friends and family members and will continue to do so.
