First rate care is the best way I can describe this office. From check in the staff is always kind and caring. They truly go the extra mile to make sure patient needs are met. Dr. Patel and all the providers are very thorough and professional. The providers all take the time to sit with their patients and answer questions. I’d recommend them to anyone looking for quality primary care.
There is typically a bit of a wait but not too long. The important things are: 1. Staff is kind, professional and considerate. 2. Health issues are addressed promptly and thoroughly. 3. Opportunity and time provided to ask questions and understand answers. 4. Any medications are quickly relayed to the pharmacy of your choice. I will advise family and friends to seek a prognosis and/or treatment at Hillside Primary Care. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars? No one is perfect! Will
My mother recommended Hillside Primary Care. I'm so thankful I took her advice. Every doctor I had the pleasure of speaking with is truly amazing. First off, they LISTEN. Which is one of the most IMPORTANT things a healthcare professional can do. They treat the whole patient. They are interested in you, intelligent, courteous, knowledgeable, and kind. I had a seizure while in the office and everyone jumped into action, making me feel safe and cared for. I'm thoroughly impressed with Hillside and highly recommend this office for your care.
Hi, this was my second visit, a follow-up. What I like best about coming here, other than it's close to where I live, the staff is friendly and attentive to your needs, and what's going on with you. The PA really takes time to listen, and not make you feel rushed. I like that she gives you feedback, and looks for alternatives to help you. She is friendly, and caring. Thank you for making feel like I matter, and that I'm not just another patient. All the best to Dr. Patel, and his staff.
The quality of care is decent. The only reasonably available appointment I could get was for a PA, not a MD, and it was about the standard of care I would expect about average. However, they sent me a bill for $10 over my copay, for reasons unknown. I wouldn't mind paying it if it's legitimate, but calling them and actually reaching someone is not a fast or easy process. I have had to call a main number which leads to several branch numbers, none of which offer bill paying assistance. They don't appear to offer online bill payment at this time. When they finally do answer, they transfer you to a third-party billing company who absolutely don't know what they're doing. The first few times I called, I was sent to a voicemail box. When I actually spoke to someone, he took about 5 minutes to figure out where to send me and it went to a voicemail box. Considering this doesn't even seem to be a valid charge who knows? no one seems to be available to answer my question and trying to pay the bill has so far cost me over an hour of time, this place absolutely is not worth the time or effort. I will never go here again and strongly recommend against anyone going here unless you have no other choices. The only positive I experienced was the amazingly painless blood work that they did. But it isn't enough to make me want to ever go here again.
How is it possible that I’ve called this doctors office multiple times a day, everyday this week, trying different extensions, and not once have they picked up the phone?! How do you run a business this way? The bills they send have a phone number which when called sends you to their primary number which has an extension that sends you back to the number on the bill, taking you in circles. To communicate with this office or pay your bill you have to go in person. The staff said labs should be covered by insurance but then I got a large bill for labs. The first doctor I saw seemed rushed and prescribed me something for asthma when I don’t have asthma. The PA is the only good thing about this place. She seems knowledgeable and takes the time to diagnose you properly.
Good Care but... Lots of inconsistent/incorrect billing Billing for a specialist visit when seen by a PA. In Office Labs are out of network for many insurance plans leaving it up to you to sort out the billing and payment issues afterwards, Off site imaging center referrals did not had the appropriate approvals done before hand and was left up the the patient to sort out with no help or assistance for the office staff. In summary, you get good medical care but at the price of having to spend many hours sorting out and cleaning up the billing after each visit. Not really sure if it is worth the trouble.
NP Hernandez was nice and professional and thoroughly went over my blood work results with me. The front desk ladies are nice. The medical assistants are hit or miss. My first visit one lady was rude and and the next visit the other lady was great. The lab tech was amazing and she got my blood drawn with no issues which never happens with me due to having small veins. I called to cancel my next appointment cause of a lab bill I got. I get that it's not the practices fault but I don't want to pay over $100 or more at my visit again and then get billed for another $136. When I called to cancel, the lady was rushing me, interrupting, and being very rude. She said so you're canceling cause you cant afford it and I said no I'm just not willing to pay another round of that cost again. After she canceled the appointment she said she canceled and hung up on me.
I chose this facility because I changed insurance and Dr for the new year. I was VERY happy with my choice. Dr, labs and pharmacy all in one location! AND they actually addressed an ongoing issue I've had for years but couldn't get anyone to listen to me. I'm very hopeful in finding a solution to my heath issues!
We've had the best and most thorough care visits I've ever received at Hillside. The provider took her time and asked questions, gave us resources, and has examined every possible avenue to monitor our care. I'm very pleased.
