Dr Ewing is the most patient, kind, and educational doctor I’ve met. He connects with you, not only physically, but he wants to know how you are doing mentally and socially, which all play and important role in your healing. As for the staff, I’ve yet to meet any rude or condescending staff. Yes, the prices are high, but it’s worth the investment in my health. Keep up the good work Dr Ewing.
Ya............Nope!!! Dr Ewing was very good. I had high hopes going into this experience. Then it came time to buy my supplements. Apparently you shouldn't ask questions. If you do, the office manager, his wife, will denigrate you personally, be condescending, rude and obnoxious. I will never go back to that horrible experience. No Dr, no matter how highly recommended which is the whole reason I sought him out is worth that. If all you want is to go in, get diagnosed, follow his protocol and purchase his products without understanding or asking questions, then this is for you. Personally speaking, I like to understand things as it is my body after all. My advice to Dr. Ewing is to remove her from the office environment. She is toxic and needs replacing. I'd say she needs workshops or something to improve her professionalism and personal communication skills but I think she is beyond help. Yes, it's that bad.
It took me a bit to get to know Dr. Ewing but he is caring and knowledgeable. He has an excellent understanding of the body using an holistic approach. I made some great progress while seeing him. For his service alone, I'd easily give a a 4+. The reason for my low score is the staff and the high prices. Over the past 5 years, I have only dealt with one pleasant receptionist there, the others have been rude and abrasive both in person and over the phone. In addition, the prices are unreasonable high for the amount of time he spends with you. For example, if you don't see him within four months of your last appointment, you have to pay $196 for 30 mins of time. I understand the rational that you need more time if you haven't been seeing him regularly, but it is poor value. Not to mention, he is usually running behind but even if your appointment starts late it will end at the same time, so the value decreases even further. I have since moved away towards Vancouver and my new naturopath was $190 for the initial appointment and it was 75 minutes long. I appreciate the support I received from Dr. Ewing but will be happy to never have to deal with his staff again. Customer service can make or break your clientele.
Dr. Ewing seems to be a good naturopath, which is why our family usually puts up with his extremely rude staff. However, they have now gone too far and we will no longer go there. Here is what happened: Our daughter who has been a faithful customer of this place for years was recently given the wrong medication by the Ewing staff. When she arrived at home with her 5 little kids she noticed that the staff had made a mistake and given her the wrong medication. She called immediately and asked if she could exchange it the next day. But the clinic stubbornly refused and insisted that exchanges can only be done on the same day. However it was already late in the day and our daughter with her five little kids could not make it back in time. Tough luck! The clinic staff stubbornly refused to own their mistake, not to mention rectify the problem by granting an exchange or refund. Our whole family have been Ewing customers for year. We are never going back!
This office is terrible, staff is rude and they are over priced for what they offer...go elsewhere, you’ll be glad you did!
