The absolute worst. If you have a whole day to waste this is the place for you. The staff knows nothing about scheduling. They always overbook. Had a 11am appointment and didn't get seen until 130pm just for results. Absolutely ridiculous. Parking is unavailable. And the front desk staff are not friendly. Will not recommend.
I’m not rating based on his work as a doctor because I can’t evaluate that. I’ll just say that his office is a mess that’s so bad it’s not worth seeing him. I’ve been there for a few appointments where one wait was an hour and another was 2 hours. I’ve also had to follow up with them when no one contacted me, but the contact person never answered the phone when I called or returned my calls. If they’re understaffed or overworked, they need to see fewer patients or at least do a much better job of handling delays rescheduling appointments, let people know how long the wait will be, etc.
The doctor is okay, but the staff doesn’t know how to schedule and the wait is 2 hours it’s horrible.
Dr. Tikko is a good doctor, but he does not talk much. The people who help you with tests and exams are good, but the people at the reception are not. I'm here at the Jersey City office for two hours and I'm still waiting for my appointment ... I hope this is the last time coming here! Finally I waited 3 hours and when the doctor call me he noticed that the results of the MRI wasn’t at the office. So 3 hours there doing anything! I don’t know if this people realized that normal people have jobs too and we can not spend the time on this way!!! I’m very disappointed
I was a new pt booked an 8:00 am appt on ZocDoc was told to arrive 15 minutes early. I arrived 7:40 to find no staff or doctor there. The staff showed without a care in the world at 8:17. I did all the pre paperwork on ZocDoc and when I arrived they said they don't honor that. So I had to do it all over again. It was now 9:15 and people were going in before me even though I was there first. when I approached the staff they told me just because I had an 8 am doesn't mean I was going to see the dr at that time. So I took my paperwork and left.
The wait is Ridiculous on top of waiting for almost an hour, in the office as a new patient by the way. The wait time is ridiculous I just called to get results faxed I was on hold for 20mins for a 2min Conversation with the staff on top of that the staff is so rude. If their not happy their then get a new job. This office is totally disorganized. I'm on hold now for 6 mins just to cancel an appointment I will never be back here again. I will see someone else happily. They do not care about you here go to see someone who will care for your well being. Your just a pay check to this office. The doctor is great his staff is the reason y he is getting a one.
It’s a shame that patients, especially my grandmother had to go in to the doctors office per request by the secretary to pick up a prescription them knowing her medical condition and just being discharged from the hospital with pneumonia, knowing that there’s other patients in the facility that can also become sick, and knowing that a patient who has an ammonia cannot be in this extreme weather in this heat, and then go in to an office with full blast AC. Patiently she waited there for two hours and a half just to get a urine sample, and afterwords the waiting to be seen by the physician. Prior to her visit she explained her current condition, and was still advised to pick up a prescription with no wait time or need to see her doctor Dr.Tikko, which never happened. What a shame it is that they would allow her to pick up a prescription in her condition, and always visits the office twice a month which makes no sense. Beginning from the reception desk to every staff member, and doctor, just honestly saddens me to give a review such as this and say that I am ashamed to work in healthcare and know that there’s other healthcare professionals who take advantage of their patients when patients should come first, and their health. The manager above all was extremely rude and disrespectful, and to top it all had no bedside manner. It makes no sense that the doctor specified to my grandmother that she is to go to one of his receptionist not the manager when it comes to her case because of her health and her always landing up in the hospital, she was directed to just speak with the secretary to obtain her prescriptions or have someone pick up the prescription because of her health situation with no issues. This office is completely disoriented, a complete disaster, no professionalisms, overly time consuming. Yet they ask why the patients become extremely frustrated and try to communicate that frustration within the facility and the doctor so that they can avoid future issues, and no matter how many times it’s done it still continues. I am glad to say that she will be changing her doctor for pain management. I would never recommend Dr. Tikko and his office, All I know is God does not like ugly!
His staff is nice the wait was 4hrs. Even wen they say you have to have an appt. Dr. Tikoo doesn't really care about his patients when you finally get to see him he lets you talk but doesn't listen to what your saying. He make you take other test even if you don't need it just so he can charge the insurance cause a regular check up doesn't pay enough with Medicaid patients. He sees over 60 patients n only has himself and another person to see all patients. At least to me he didn't show he cared about what was wrong with me, it's what he says and o my what he says like he told me "I'm the doctor, you have to do what I say! if not don't come here."
If I could give this place a zero I would and I never write reviews. The doctor does seem sweet, I'll give him that, but the organizational skills within this doctor's office is non existent. First I waited for each appointment roughly about three hours in the waiting room. For me that wasn't a big deal. BUT the doctor ordered me an MRI of my brain due to my symptoms. He found spots so he had me get two more MRI's with contrast, so I did. I had to wait a month for my next docotor's appointment to receive a diagnosis, which is understandable because I had to get MRIs that needed time to be approved by my insurance. However, once I got the MRI's done I called every day for a week to make sure they had it and no one answered the phone. So I called his Bergen location and they told me that they received it.. a sigh of relief because my doctors appointment was the next day and i just needed to know what was wrong with me. The suspense was killing me..The next day he gave me a diagnosis and i felt a sense of relief. However, I come to find out that my recent MRIs were lost and he was diagnosing me off of an old one without contrast. Now I worry that I even got the correct diagnosis. AND, as he was telling me I have a neurological condition, we were interrupted three times by another technician. This is an emotional moment, I really needed some time with my doctor without interruptions. Anyways, he decided to look for my MRIs so I waited in the waiting room for them to try to find them. once he found one of them, he told me my results out in the open. He did not discuss my results in a private room this time.. I'm not one to get all bent out of shape over privacy but I thought it was very strange. I told the lady at the front desk that i am switching doctors and if I could please have all of my information. She handed me some papers and as i looked through them, I told her many MRIs were missing and she was very dissmisive, so I decided to just leave out of frustration. When I looked in my folder again in the car, I noticed she gave me papers with another patients information. Now I know this guys address, insurance, etc.... it doesnt end there...later i tried to bring my script to the pharmacy only for them to tell me they spelled the medication completely wrong.. that was the icing on top of it all. Now I am waiting for my medication to be approved by my insurance. it has been taking awhile so today I decided to call CVS specialty and they told me the reason it has been taking so long is because they have been trying to get into contact with this doctors office for days...I cant explain how frustrated this doctors office made me feel. Anything that could go wrong in a doctors office, went wrong. Im glad that I am switching.
It was horrible experience I wait more than two hours because they give same appointment to everyone patient argument a lot for who should see doctor first . the technician was so funny I was complain about how the test for nerve damage is very painful he respond was ridiculous tell me you have fun, I wished him the same fun I had . and Dr. Tico for 3 years don't sure why I have fainting spells and why I have pain in my ten fingers. I'm looking for neurologist have experience.
