Description

The Draper City Police Department began patrolling the streets of Draper on July 1, 2003. The Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office had contracted with the City for policing services prior to Draper's own police force being started.

Draper Police started with 23 sworn officers and 4 support staff in 2003. In 2014, the Draper Police Department has grown to 40 sworn officers and 10 support staff.

Draper Police officers are on duty 365 days a year, 24 hours a day and handle any call for service or crime that is reported. We are here to serve the residents, businesses and anyone visiting Draper City.

Chief Bryan Roberts heads the Police Department. He started with Draper City Police in August 2012. Prior to Draper, Chief Roberts was the Chief of Police for Menlo Park (CA) Police Department. To learn more about Chief Roberts, click the following link: http://www.draper.ut.us/chief.

Deputy Chief John Eining began working with Draper Police in February 2014, after having served with Sandy City Police for 22 years. Deputy Chief Eining brings a lot of experience, enthusiasm, and leadership to the Draper Police Department

I tend to find they are quick to respond to questions or concerns. In addition take action when needed quickly. We had break ins up in our area on the mtn from a group of thieves driving from the northern part of Utah and im glad to say they handled it quickly. For those complaining about tickets just quick breaking whatever law it is. I've been pulled over for speeding years ago, my fault, i see it as just doing their job. For all the ding dongs saying we pay your pay checks well guess what they get taxes taken out too. Keep up the good work Draper PD.
Utuckians, if you drive like an idiot you will probably get a ticket, speed and you will get a ticket! Just obey the traffic laws! This is their job as police officers to keep the public safe and if doing speed control is keeping people safe then shut up! You would complain if they just sat and watched people speed down Traverse Mountain or Fort Street! These Men and Women of the Draper City Police deserve nothing but respect and thanks from the citizens of Draper! I have seen these officers helping citizens more often than citing them! These officers love the people of Draper City and they do the job for that reason! MaHaLo & Love DCPD!!!
For those reviews above, just obey the law! I am a Draper Citizen and these officers are OUTSTANDING! Their main goal is to keep us safe! I have seen them in action and they deal with a lot of craziness, are very professional and never know who they are dealing with when approaching a situation. A lot of bad has happened to officers lately. They put their lives on the line to protect us. I know they have come to my rescue when my house alarm went off at 2:00 a.m. I got a ticket 9 years ago for speeding and deserved it. Give them a break! Or if you dislike them, when you get into trouble or need help, call a Meth head...
Very professional and helpful officers at Draper police department. Recent encounter involved 2 officers who went above and beyond to help move my car in the middle of snow Storm. Great Job !
The police chief is awesome, but I was shot in my home they have the suspect on camera with the gun slashing my tires and found him in my home and because we are a black family in a white community no charges are being filed the detective young has decided to not pursue this..thank you Draper heights I’m moving back to the ghetto where ppl care
About two weeks ago, I needed to change lane in a 70 zone of I-15; so I speeded up a little at 79 for a short time. Because of this I got a ticket from the police . I think this is quite unfair. Since I had to be out of US in two days, I could not deliver a complaint at the Draper City Court.
I was lock out of my work van at the ramada in . I called some lock smiths , but no answer. So I had seen on tv a officer helping someone get in there car. So I called NOT 911 the Draper PD and asked if they would help. With in 10 minutes an officer was here and opened my van . The officer was great , Draper PD rocks. Thanks again
Don't understand and takes sides. There is this guy that parks in the side walk all day everyday iv called a fue times and nothing happens. So if a kid gets hit by a car for going in the street to go around his cars who's at falt the guy that owns the car or the draper police for not doing anything about it? ?????
Greedy money grubbers! They will give you a ticket for having the wrong color shirt on. Always looking for ways to gouge the public.
Some of the police officers are so bad at their job. Most of them are great.
