Pros: Many courts, not too busy, easy and convenient location. And FREE. Cons: The courts are in bad shape, most of the nets are damaged and there is no protection from wind so it’s not great playing there if there’s even a little bit of wind.
Pros: one of the few parks with courts which have working lights so early in the year. Most other places are equipped with lights but they are not turned on until later in the spring. Lots of deer grazing nearby. There are also a decent number of courts Con: surfaces have lots of cracks and need resurfacing. People roller blading on courts. Note that the courts by the cemetary are in much better shapes.
They have good number of tennis courts, but the condition of the courts is not good...
It was a beautiful early fall day at the Druid Hill Park courts with Coach Derrick and his ladies. Had fun hitting balls and meeting new players. The location of these courts is really special. The courts are showing signs of wear with cracks and I hope they all get resurfaced soon. I will return.
This is a nice set of tennis courts. There are about 6-8 courts set right next to each other. The courts seem to be built on a slight incline. Nets are in decent condition but the courts do have some cracks and debris. I'm glad to have this place around! Update: July 2021: Court conditions have worsened and the nets now have some holes and surfaces with more cracks that change play conditions making bounces unpredictable. Some roller bladers now go on the court and swerve onto your courts during play. Updated my star rating accordingly.
Haven’t tried out the courts at night yet, but nice during the day. Could use some work aesthetically and some additional amenities.
Did not use the Tennis Club facilities. Used the park for exercise purposes. However, restroom facilities were not open for public use; very disappointing. Management should be more public conscious.
Nice courts. Well-lit at night. A family of deer posted up under the trees and watched the tennis action. No cap. It was great.
We love the amount of courts but it would be nice if there were more shade!
Great Refreshing & Peace Of Mind Park To Unwind. Whether You're With Friends; Family , Children Or By Yourself !!
