2B, or not 2B? There is no question!! Exit 2B, for the uninitiated. Duchess is a childhood memory. And the best fast food around. Big D w cheese. Killer! Good enough ORs, for fast food. And dee-licious shakes. I always get vanilla. The menu is crazy large for fast food. But exploration there is encouraged and rewarded. These days, the closest location is about three hours away, but I never miss the opportunity.
Friendly service. Dine in is open. They have breakfast and lunch items. Everything is cooked to order and is also fast. They serve your drinks as opposed to before, there are no refills.
I went to duchess and asked for a cheeseburger with Swiss. A Hispanic lady gave me American cheese. This has to be the worst food company with employees. She needs to be fired immediately!

The employees were not rude, they were just not engaging or conversational. "Good evening, how are you tonight?" can go a long way in the mind of the customer.
Best long dog hot dog around. Must be tried to believe. Friendly staff and great service. Sometimes you may wait a bit longer than a fast food establishment but that is because you food is made to order and fresh, not sitting there waiting for you to order it. When I am in Danbury CT it is where I go.
I fell in love with Duchess back in the early 2000. I don't get to go often but when I do I make sure to get the chilli cheeseburger. I go expecting a certain flavor every time and they never fail. Fries are always crispy, drinks are never nasty tasting!
Yummy #1! Plenty of options with a good hot dog kids meal. Reasonable prices and excellent service!
Girl that took our order didn't know what she was doing. I asked for an ice tea and she gave me a small cup for hot tea. Also we had to keep repeating our order because she kept ringing it up wrong. My cheese steak wrap wasn't worth the price. It was small and bland. I probably won't go back.
I love going to Dutches since my friend showed me the place. But the one in Danbury is terrible, the food quality is bad and taste spoiled and the staff is rude. The price for two people to eat there is about $30 but you can get a better meal at McDonald’s for about $20. Everything was over cooked or tasted spoiled. When we reach out the company couldn’t even cover the cost of the meal, maybe if they spend more time on quality control and staffing the right way and paying the staff right after paying for over priced food they be would be doing better.
Ordered at the Danbury location for pickup. When I got there the staff told me the food had already been picked up. The staff repeatedly kept asking are you sure someone else didn't come to get it, like I was lying to them. No one was communicating back to me if they were going to remake the food or refund me. I had to leave as I was not from the area and just passing through. I asked for a refund at that point. The manager then came out and told me they were already making the food and then said they couldn't refund the order since it was placed online. Will not be back. Bad customer service and it clearly starts with the management.
