Live music is always good. Friendly staff, just confusing because there's no one wearing an actual uniform. Thought some random guy was seating us since he came from no where. Server was super nice. Wings : under par. No heat, lacked crisp, and was kinda chewy. Potato skins: delicious, hands down best Ive had. Plenty of potato, bacon and cheese. Lobster tails: average entree for lobster tail. A little on the small side. Potatoes were delicious. Clams: on par as well, hard to mess up clams. Great dive restaurant if you're in the area. Wouldn't go out of my way to dine here though.
Good food and great staff. This is the typical american restaurant with great classics like burgers and the like. The place is quite unique and it’s always crowded. Make sure to make reservation beforehand they only make reservations via phone. Staff is kind, always available and asking if we need anything. The reason I gave it four stars is because even making a reservation they sat us on a table in a completely “separate” room. It was said because we’ve been apart from all experience and could barely hear the live music. Food is really good, I had the onion soup and the buckshot burger. Fair size to both of them.
Amazing food, large portions, and great service! My family and I enjoyed the seafood chowder and lobster bisque - the latter was a bit salty, but each filled with a good amount of seafood. The lobster club salad had a giant serving of lobster and the paella was delicious. Short ribs was super tender. Also liked the live band. Highly recommend!
5 stars for the brunch I had last Sunday. I’ve been to this place couple more times but only for lunch. Sunday brunch was my first time and my food was so tasty and I was ecstatic! I got their chicken and waffle on their Sunday brunch menu. Portion was generous in my opinion. The waffle was crispy just how I love my waffle. Chicken strips were not dry thank God ! It says on the menu that the sauce is hot honey mustard but it was not spicy AT ALL- rather sweet. It was very good though ! Comes with home fries and fresh pineapple wedges and I just loved the flavor of their home fries as well. It was slightly on the sweet side but a hint of turmeric. Love love loveWill be back for the same dish again in Sunday after church for sure !!
Rosy's is a landmark in the area w/a kitschy atmosphere that embodies the history of the town like no other local restaurant can. They are a destination in these parts simply on that premise alone having items from the towns founding incl. the famed danbury fair up to current times and even feature a working fortune telling machine. The food is eclectic and unexpected but executed fairly well. Most things come under seasoned which is something I have grown to appreciate getting older. I got the stuffed chicken donahue over fettuccine. The presentation was spot on as the plate looked great hitting the table... the chicken and pasta were cooked great w/the pasta maybe being a tad over. The Alfredo and stuffing were a mixed a bag...both had nice flavors but were lacking depth. Everything sort of had one note but the breading was crunchy n texture-wise satisfying. Service is decent and though it feels dated it's not in a bad way. Still a recommended spot when friends visit.
What a great experience. One of a kind. I travel a lot for work. Try to find original places throughout the country. Danbury Connecticut this place is special.Food: 5/5
Wow, just wow Had the best experience and service, friendly staff, prices are fair and delicious food. We had just come from a horrible experience at Shake Shack in Danbury and this place made our night. The food was so worth it, we also had deserts, kids had ice cream and we share a cheesecake which was super creamy and just Definitely coming back Oh and also we came just in time because when we were leaving people were waiting to be seated and now I know why, place is awesome. We must of came at 4:30/5 and were seated right away and service was fast…that’s a plus in my book. Can’t wait to try the other items on their menu
My wife choose this place on a trip up north. It turned out to be an excellent place to stop and enjoy a good meal, service and a very interesting atmosphere. It is well worth getting off the highway to rest and eat here.Food: 5/5
Average food. Reasonable prices. The chowder was okay. Needed some seasoning. Same with the brunch burger. The patty itself was not seasoned. The buffalo calamari was good as were the wings. Service was great and the decor is eclectic. If I were to come back here it would just be for the apps.Food: 2/5
Interesting antique decor gives a whimsical/fun ambiance. they have a really great homemade? gluten free bread/bun option for the burgers and sandwiches. Service was good and wicked fast! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options!
