We stopped here on our halfway and we enjoyed it. The staff was very polite and they have the beautiful backyard with BBQ zone. Our number was good and clear. The small coffee maker is nice. This motel is pet friendly. On the backyard we had the old fireplace. It was nice. Their parking has Tesla chargers, that is super cool. The owner Eric explained us anything about the local famous and historical places. We took a bike ride around and we satisfied a lot. If you want to spend your time in the good and quiet place I recommend this place. Thank you Eric.
Such a quiet quaint place to stay. This is my 3rd time I've stayed and would stay here again. Nestled in the trees, train whistle in the distance... Coffee maker with creamers in your room, refrigerator with freezer, they even have live plants on the table in the room. All these extra touches make this place wonderful!Rooms: 5/5
Even though we showed up late without a reservation, the owner was quick to greet us upon calling on our arrival. Don’t be fooled by its rustic, quaint outside. The rooms feel modern and new with hints of the old tile charm. I’m the morning while we packed the car, we got to chat with a few of the dogs staying there and their owners and checked out the cute view. Owner checked to make sure our stay was pleasant, and came out again to wave goodbye and say thanks when we left. He was lovely. Will stay again, when back in the area.
Absolutely love this place. Pet friendly and very comfortable..The noise of the trains fit the environment..we have stayed here 4 times and will again as it is a half-way point for our travels..Rooms: 5/5
A nice and comfortable motel, nice surroundings. It’s on the Main Street but it’s quiet and all the rooms are set back off the street. The rooms are old / retro we had the basic king room and could use upgrading main reason for 3 stars but room & bathroom was clean. Bed was comfortable.
As Pacific Crest Trail section hikers we have stayed here 4 times over the past 2 years, using it as a base of operations for our multi-week hikes in the area. Eric is a fantastic host who picks up and delivers weary hikers to and from the trail nearby 4 miles away at Castle Crags State Park. Rooms are clean and recently renovated, with great views overlooking the Sacramento River. Tesla owners are welcome too with a plug-in station installed.
Cutest little motel in the cutest little town! Scott was very nice and we got to take the kitties with us. I can't wait to come back to Dunsmuir and spend a day exploring the town and I would absolutely stay at this inn again. It was clean and quiet, beautifully landscaped in a beautiful setting. I don't need fancy, I just want clean, and this was perfect.
Hiker friendly, cute and comfortable rooms. Really enjoyed our stay here to take a day off trail.
Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Staff was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed.Rooms: 5/5
The dog prices were high per dog but overall pretty good
