Have been coming here several times a year for many years. Today, we ordered dim sum and a banquet meal for 8 people. Liked the idea of having a private room, away from the crowd and noisy. Overall, the food was okay. Some dishes were delicious, such as the walnuts shrimps, fresh steamed fish, fried rice and lobster.. Some dishes were not as good, such as the beef way too salty, the sea cucumber, chicken feet. Not cheap, not very high CP!
One of the top 3 places to get dim sum in the South Bay. Dinner is also solid, with value to be found in the set dinners. Restaurant is huge, with many private banquet rooms. They can accommodate multiple wedding banquets and still take in the regular dining crowd. Still, it is a popular restaurant and be prepared to wait for a while on the weekends for dim sum. Pro-tip: Go early or late for dim sum on the weekends. Order from the paper menu instead of waiting for the carts to come by some items run out before they get to your table. Sometimes I feel like they try to push the more expensive "special order" items, so buyers beware. For dinner, bring a large group, start with the set dinner menu and add dishes as needed.
Excellent domain and very authentic! Kid friendly and good for big parties. They also have private rooms and a banquet area for weddings and stuff. It's a shame that the rest of the mall is empty and scheduled for demolition! I remember when it was a busy and bustling mall. There's usually a line to get seated so call ahead or go their early. In case you haven't had DimSum before, food is brought to you in carts and you and point to things to order them. For lunch and dinner, they have a small menu I English and a super big book in Chinese so go there with some local Chinese people for best selection.
We came here for Dim Sum on a Sunday. We had just sat down, and within the minute we were enjoying hot, delicious food. We loved the sticky rice and sweet pork buns. The ladies with the carts were friendly. Planning to go back for the pecking duck and crab legs.
They offer various kinds of dim sum and most of those I’ve tried were good. Price is competitive. They offer flat rate for all small/median/large dishes at weekdays which is a good deal. Service is fine.
Last month, I went to this place for a wedding. One of my relatives got married. I ate a variety of food. Fried rice is my favorite food. I chose it as a favorite from the other food. Wedding cake was my favorite dessert. This place is okay. This place automatically gets a five star for deciding to not leave even though the Vallco Shopping Mall is about to get demolished. Hopefully, this place maintains the variety no matter what. Improvements are possible. Challenges can be dealt with.
Authentic Chinese dim sums but pricy. Food quality is acceptable but not particularly impressive. Usually very crowded on weekends so plan to come well before noon.
Great value dim sum! Service is great too. Even though the mall it's in is like abandoned... It's totally worth it coming here just for the food!
A pretty good place for dim sum. Service is good and parking is easy.
Very authentic transitional Cantonese restaurant. Dim sum is very good. At weekends be prepared to wait at least 20 minutes. The place is very big, lots of round large tables and private areas, good for the large group or family gathering. The service is fast and nice. Food carts comes frequent and fast. Other than the very transitional dishes, they offer some new style small plates as well. I would like to try their dinner someday. Overall a very solid 4 Star.
