I chose E.H. Mortuary Services for my Mother. I am so glad I did! If you want your love one to look like themselves, then there is no one in the country like Ed Ford to do it. I can’t say enough about him and the customer service provided my his wife. Mrs Merna Ford. Choose EH Ford Mortuary Service.
My mother passed away on a Monday. I called the funeral home that same day to attempt to make arrangements. Mrs. Ford instructed me to go home and rest and to come the next day. She knew what I needed and was very insightful and compassionate. My mother suffered with Alzheimer's for years so she was robbed of her beauty. When I say Edmund Ford had her gorgeous! That brought me immense comfort. Their pricing is reasonable as well. I highly recommend their services.
1.Learn the Business side of Funeral Homes Before you allow a sweet voice and Bs to override your pockets and better judgement. 2 Check with More than one funeral home 3.Make sure The Wife Doesn't get you to sign paperwork without details! 4.Make it Clear DO NOT TOUCH my family's body until I figure out things,bc SHE will charge you for embalming and you didn't tell her too 5. Take a phone and Record the Wife when discussing the policy, funeral arrangements as well. 6. You Do Not Need a Vault,700^ B4 you get a vault ASK the cemetery is it neededif not have them take it off your Package! It is a Lie if they say the Can't!sometime you might just need the Liner900^ but it's cheaper in Boliver, tn. The liner covers the casket box container and Straps and pallbears! The vault, box, embalming, director and staff is Half the Policy itself! The most you should pay for a funeral is 5500 Basic No escort or limo extra $alot of people pay 7k and up bc they dont know the hearse and family in their OWN caris what the 5500 covers, w/o vault or box its cheaper than 5k shop around for cheaper prices and Yes U can transfer the body from Funeral Homes! In a "Deal"the casket should be the cheapest. Boliver Funeral homes have " liners" for cheap and Mississippi Burials are Way cheaper no vault neededthan TN. Get Burial plots b4 You or a love one pass #100Never Grieve, TRUST or STRESS about Funeral Homes Overcharging prices! Always ReaD Reviews!!
I highly recommend the service of EH Ford Mortuary. This establishment handled my grandmother’s service in 2011 with her having to be flown back to Memphis from Indiana and this time, my sister from Cleveland, OH to Memphis. They are respectful to the family, offer great pricing, and your love one is in great hands. My sister was sick for a long time and she was beautiful. In the midst of our sorry, we could laugh because her hair never looked so good. We were highly satisfied with the services of EH Ford.
I wouldn't care if there was not another funeral company left in the city, I would never want me or my family buried hereI meant to put this review when it first happened but just had not got around to it. I remember when my now brother in law was buried there and at the time, I was just his brother girlfriend. The funeral director treated me like crape making a big deal that I could not seat in the front with family because I was not his brother's wife. However, I am the wife now and the mother literally had to plead with him to let me seat on the front rollWord of advice, when a family is grieving you should not be so concerned where the girlfriend of the brother is seating. That is why I do not care, I would never want to be buried there and my original family neither. If you don't care about the living vessel and body, I personally do not want you handling my body once I am gone. Terrible service ...zero stars to be exact

Very Terrible Customer Service!!!! My Family & I are grieving, and they were so INCONSIDERATE!!! They were VERY rude!! THEY MADE US CHANGE HER OUTFIT!! If you want your loved one make up done, 0/10 recommend…. THEY WILL NOT LOOK LIKE THEMSELVES AT ALL !! Waste of time to call and complain the Receptionist is RUDE too ‼& this review gets 0 STARS ‼
Acquired funeral services for E. H Ford for my sister. The greetings at the first meeting made us feel special. However, during the overview of the cost and arrangement Mr. Ford was very condescending. His demeanor and professionalism was questionable. As the customer he should have been more cordial. Also, they need to be more respectful for the dead. There was a dead body in the cubby hole next to the office that was visible and this was a seating area for other customers - the whole area should have been covered to prevent customers from seeing a dead body. And the person that answer the phone needs a lot of training, she has no customer service skills and can't give you any information regarding status of death certificates or any other matter - must talk to Mrs Ford. I called about the status of my sister's death certificate and she said the computers were down and she couldn't check the status, when in fact Mrs. Ford had the death certificate - guess it's a lack of communication and I hope she is not getting a regular salary. Don't waste your time calling her, contact Mrs Ford instead.
Words cannot express how thankful I am to E H Ford Mortuary!!! My Grandmother was given the best of everything here.... Thank you to Mr.& Mrs. Ford and the entire staff here... I know that tonight was just the beginning and tomorrow is the final day but your services gave my family the comfort needed to begin our healing process...
