I used to prefer coming here over LA Fitness but recently the experience has been awful. The clientele is trash most likely because the membership staff do not teach them proper gym etiquette and enforce rules. People treat this space like it is their private gym. Working out barefoot in a public gym is gross. Someone recently colored their hair in the women's locker room which stained the sinks. This morning, a door to a bathroom stall was off half of the hinges. It is also weird that they allow non-EOS staff to train here. It is not staffed appropriately. For example, there have been times when the women's locker room is out of toilet paper or soap and the men working the front desk have shrugged and said there is nothing they can do. It is unsanitary and dangerous.
I used EOS Fitness gym at different locations in North Phoenix, Scottsdale, Gilbert, Tempe, Peoria, Glendale since 2020 - 3 years. At the end of this June I got a couple suspecious transactions for $22k on the credit card, which one was used for my EOS fitness monthly payments. My bank immediately blocked the credit card. I forgot to update billing information. A I didn't use the EOS fitness 2 months, because I had some health issues. I got the call from EOS billing department and The August 2nd I came to closest EOS - on Warner Rd, Tempe. At front desk I meet a manager of this branch - on his badge was the name - "Real King Jullian". I was asking him to update billing information. He said I have negative balance $75. I was asking him to explain to me why I have this negative balance. He told me - two monthly payments $25.00 each month. 25X2=50. Plus $25.00 is late payment penalty. I said I didn't use the gym two months, but I am ready to pay for that. Also I was asking him to forgive the penalty to take the penalty off of my account and if he will take it off - I would like to stay with EOS. He said he can't. He said he can't do it if I gonna pay by credit card. He was asking me to pay by bank account. I told him I don't want to use my bank account for that thing. I was little bit angry, because I was paying my monthly payments regularly 3 years. And I asked him to cancel my EOS membership, if he couldn't take penalty off of my account. He said for that - I should pay $100, if I want to cancel the membership. I was surprised why I have to pay $25 more. He answered - That I have to pay for 3 months plus penalty. I was angry and wanted just to cancel my EOS membership ASAP. I said - it is okay, just charge my credit card all penalties and other fees and make the membership cancellation ASAP. He was trying to charge $100.00, but the system didn't make it and charged just $75. I got the membership cancellation and got out there.
So when I walked I waited by the front desk for about 5-7 minutes and no employee was there. Went and walked around to see if they were around the gym. Not there. After 10 minutes I started to ask out loud and finally a guy comes out of a dark office. Gym was clean and I appreciated the janitors taking their time and really doing a good job. Good equipment
Great gym, I love eos and for the price and number of locations it can’t be beat. Never had an issue until I did and I wasn’t too happy with the service I got from the gym. The DM, Ezme, emailed me and made it seem like she heard my complaint and was working to correct it. I’m happy with the outcome and recommend everyone join eos.
Unfortunately EOS decides to use Every Door Direct Mailer EDDM Retail Service from the United States Postal Service. You can see this when the mail is not addressed and where the stamp is supposed to be located it indicates “EDDM RETAIL” on the bottom. This is unfortunately a service you are not allowed to opt out of and businesses can pay by the residential block to have USPS distribute flyers for them. Forcing a potential customer to remove unsolicited marketing trash from their mailbox, that again they are unable to opt out of, is not a positive experience. The only recourse for a consumer is to not use that business and write a review, which is what you see happening here.
Staff never try to help. I informed how dirty the woman’s restroom and do nothing about it. Also, the personal training sucks! Trainers will cancel on your day of appointments. Always get the run around with the trainers and when you try to cancel it’s impossible. Please think twice before you sign up and stuck with contract.
I’ve walked in your establishment on multiple occasions and asked to close my account. The reps in the front always say they closed it but lie. I will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau. Do not get membership here update * no one cared to respond to my review for a whole week, I gave them sometime to try and fix things before I filled a complaint with the better business bureau, after filling my complaint with the better business bureau they decide to respond to my review. I had to contact my bank for help because eos fitness only cares to scam customers.
BUYER BEWARE - Horrible customer service. This company is more concerned about profit and policies than people. I would not waste money at EOS. There are a ton of gyms that actually care for comparable prices. This specific location has horrible management.
I’ve tried canceling my membership and pt dozens of times over the course of a year, yet there is always waiting for someone to call back or some process or being told that it would get taken care of, but still getting charged. Open gym is fine, but it is the 9th circle of hell when it comes to canceling the pt training
This location is clean and the staff are very friendly. Everyone always gets greeted every single time you walk into the door and when you leave. I primarily come for the group fitness-BodyPump, BodyStep and Upbeat Barre. All great instructors and classes. Heather and Marlon are top notch trainers I look forward to coming every week and following them to other locations when I need to. I know they will provide high energy workouts everytime! The childcare is also amazing. We never have any issues with any of the teachers and I can tell they truly care about the kiddos!
