Amazing blufftop park with multiple overlooks high above the mighty Mississippi River. Excellent birding in all seasons, notably Bald Eagles in the winter. Awesome CCC-era park shelters, restrooms, stairs, and other park structures. Truly a treasure to rival most State Parks. Playground: Several playgrounds throughout the park. Restrooms: Several restroom buildings. Dog-friendliness: Dogs are not permitted. Picnic area: Several excellent picnic shelters and additional picnicking areas.
Beautiful park with something for everybody. Playgrounds, picnic areas, koi pond, trails, scenic overlooks...and the list goes on.
This is a great place to walk around and have a picnic. They have a variety of shelters that you can pick from. You can reserve the shelters. They have a little pond with Fish koi also called curb. They have a little area that sprays water for small children to get cooled off. They have a number of playgrounds and they also have tennis courts. There is also a bike/walk path from the main road all the way up to the top to Eagle point Park. It cost one dollar to drive into the park.
Cost $1 to get in. It's a nice clean park with lots of options for events. Even has a playground for kids. Has just a few view points of the river and the #11 lock and damn. I honestly was more impressed with the river views at the Julian Dubuque Monument.
Sad. There is a sign that says your dog " has to stay in your car while in the park" also NO PETS ALLOWED. I know it's because of irresponsible pet owners but it's the responsible pet owners that pay. We will not be visiting this park. Points off Dubuque. Dog-friendliness: NOT DOG FRIENDLY
Magnificent park with mature trees. The view to the Mississippi river is terrific! I will be back to explore more.
We had a great time walking around all the different areas at Eagle point Park and Dubuque Iowa. You have a great view of the river and there are a lot of nice walking trails. Definitely worth the $1 that you have to spend to get into the park!
Very nice park that over looks the Mississippi river. They even have a spot you can look down on a lock and damn which was a site you'll need to see. This park has several pavilions and places to have family reunions or parties. There are trails to walk. They did have some okay ground toys for you get children also. Lots to explore and lots to see. Playground: Playground for children. Restrooms: Several places to restroom at. Picnic area: Many pavilions to choose from.
Has a lot of playground areas, and you can see the river from how many spots up there as well. They got a nice fish pond that has a whole bunch of beautiful koi fish. There's a lot of walking space as well.
The park has always been scenic and beautiful. I lived in Dubuque years ago when I went to school here..... Things change... we were hoping to take a walk with our small dog however....!!! NO PETS ALLOWED!!! Anywhere in the park. It was too hot to leave her in the car. So if you go here leave your pet at home!! Once again... NO PETS ALLOWED!!!
