Beautiful, well maintained park. Walking trails offer gorgeous views of the agricultural landscape and interior forest. Be aware that these trails are hilly. If you're looking for trails that will make you huff & puff, these are the trails for you. They're paved the whole way through and easy on the knees. Park benches are located throughout the trail, if you need to take a breather. Also saw a nice disc golf course.
I am not sure why many of these reviews say there are no dogs allowed. That is inaccurate. What may be confusing is that if you park in the wrong lot, there are signs that no dogs are allowed because they aren't allowed anywhere except the walking trails. This is a great place to get good exercise! The trail is hilly and scenic! Really beautiful no matter which season of the year!
Great park, with 2 separate playgrounds for different ages. Hilly, paved walking path through the woods. Frisbee gold course, pavilions, sports fields. Restrooms available.
So how did we end up back at earl township park . It had been years 4 since we were their. It all started the day before. The boys wanted to have a big sleep over with their friends be for school started. It was a crazy knight of pizza , popcorn, soda , videogames and Youtube videos. It lasted till early the next morning. I woke up about 7 with little sleep the old lady woke up soon after because I woke her up. As I made my way through the house it was like walking through a grave yard with bodies all over still passed out. I began to make my pot of coffee and started thinking about what we could all do outside. I made my way back to wear the old lady had fallen back asleep and woke her up again. I said got any ideas and she said oley is having a peach festival and tractor pulls . I thought that would be fun sew I finished my coffee and we began waking the dead. They were kind of hungry so we nuked a couple packs of hot dogs and broke out some more soda. It was a very lavish feast and when we finished we tossed the paper plates in the trash and loaded up the cars. We were on are way. It is a nice ride to oley from our house and we all enjoyed it and picking on my old lady . When we arrived in oley we soon realized something was wrong. It was a ghost town. We had arrived a day late for the event. So we all laughed and picked on the old lady . On the way back home everyone was still having so much fun. We were heading down 73 and hit earl township. And I said he lets check out earl township park everyone was on board. We made are way down and up the twisting country roads and arrived at the park. As we pulled into the upper parking lot it was like traveling back in time. The 2 play areas were unchanged and well maintained. It was very clean the sand volley ball court was in good shape the 3 pavilions were in very good shape and clean. The bathrooms and portopots were all so clean and well maintained the 3 baseball fields looked like base ball fields. The kids played for about 2 hrs and then began to get tired because of the long insane knight be for. The end
Great place to take a walk in the fall. Lots of wildlife & a fantastic view from the top of the hill. The only downside is that the park closes earlier certain times of the year & if there's snow the park is closed.
Went here with nephews who loved playing and climbing on the 2 structures. The long trail provided a good workout with some shady sections. Also had numerous picnic shelters and lots of parking. Only drawback was slides were too hot to use at noon.
Beautiful park and rarely ever full unless it's baseball season. It's a nice place to spend a quiet afternoon as it's generally a very quiet place. The only thing that is a huge disappointment, especially for people who are in town and don't have a place to run their dog is that it's, no dogs allowed and it's gate, especially since this park closes early.
What a hidden gem in earl township. Such a beautiful park. Very clean restrooms and very nice play area and pavillion. Had a baby shower and all the guests were very please with the beauty of the park. Well done earl township for keeping such a nice park.
Great place! Set on top of a hill and the view is beautiful! 2 play grounds and pavilions. Not my favorite walking trail as it is VERY hilly! Also love that it is mostly in the shade so stays a little cooler throughout the summer.
Beautiful park with 3 playground areas and 3 pavilions. Very well maintained. Dog-friendliness: No dogs allowed
