Earth Goods Natural Foods is a culmination of the life experiences and an extension of the philosophies of owners Jackie & Rich Gericke. Jackie’s passion for over 25 years has been plants – plants – plants: Medicinal weeds, edible wild things, current scientific research, old recipes, indigenous use of plants and more. She is a certified (non-practicing) medical assistant with a degree in chemistry. Rich grew up on Gericke’s Organic Farm, a family owned farm for over 40 years which was ultimately transformed into a Clay Pit Pond Park, a New York State Park, and still an active, organic research farm, which also provides produce for many specialty restaurants in NYC. All this diverse history has led to an expansive, complete health food store focusing on diet & alternative medicines, with a healthy respect for not only tradition but also science and research.
