Sketchy billing Visited the ER to receive surgical glue for a laceration. Was assured by triage staff that I wouldn't need an ED room, just an urgent care room. Received the bill for an ED room. Called twice to discuss the bill - each time they said they would call me back with the review of my medical chart for billing accuracy, and they verified that their record of my phone number was correct. Well, they never called me back, and they did not pause the aging process on my bill during the review - not sure they even did review to be honest, as I don't have any record of it. Ended up paying for an ED room before they tried to hurt my credit score via collections. Would advise others to avoid this hospital if you can.
It's really confusing and huge to go back n forth to your car .I seemed to get loaded every time lol and they wouldn't let me stay night with my hubby i had to sleep in parking garage. Which amazingly was very lit up and safe lol with great view... Better then a hotel.
I didn't know where I was at when they pulled me out of my coma. The nurses on the 8th floor can be rude. The Dr even said I was eating two meals but the nurse ashley ordered my 2 grilled chicken2 different days sandwich. Plus my uncle died while I was there I was treated poorly. It's yor job to heal and keep us safe but not once I felt that way they told me to shut up. I've been sick with Membranes nephropathy since I was 14. When all you do is cry and people laugh at you. I was blamed for everything...you need to hold them to to higher standards loved crying myself to sleep while everyone laughs at me I was traumatized
Do not go to this ER if possible. They are slow, rude and don't care about you or the reason why your there. Unless you are Dying, lost a body part or the police bring you in. So if you are not dealing with an extreme emergency. Go to Trinity health st. Mary's hospital ER. At least you'll see an actual doctor and not just nurses that are rude, few and far between.
My partner and I were involved in a near death motorcycle accident and unfortunately ended up here for treatment if you want to call it treatment. I was discharged unable to walk with no assistance and many untreated open major wounds. My head and face were extremely swollen as I could only see through one eye. My stitches were done extremely uneven and without courtesy of long term scarring on my face. It was a quick get her in and out. I had no aftercare trama treatment calls or appointments by them. The WORST treatment for myself and partner! He was discharged with a untreated hole in his elbow! We are seeking treatment elsewhere! This hospital is AWFUL!
I was dragged to this dumpster fire hospital against my will, for a trivial stupid reason, I wasn’t allowed to leave by my uptight rude doctor. Im not even sure how kidnapping someone like that is even legal, but yea it was a very traumatizing experience, Id recommend going to your local rite aid before going to this hot mess express.
Went in to get some pathology work done. I met the pathologist. Kristine koeing. From the start, she was rude. Rude as in "I was a bug under a glass too her" kinda rude. She then proceeded too take a call from her husband, in the middle of a question cut me off. I understand you rarely work with patients on -hand, but don't make me feel like your husband Jeff is more important yes she said his name. Than your patients that you clearly don't want too see. Will never return for pathology again. P.s. I understand you have a minivan. But don't cut people off out of the parking lot, kristi!
The building & parking is confusing. However, random staff members throughout the hospital were more than happy to give directions inside. They took great care of my son during his surgery. Note: make sure to take your parking ticket inside to get validated or prepare to pay a hefty fee.
I gave birth to my first baby here, it was an amazing experience, everyone was so caring helpful and got done what needed to be done I had an amazing nurse named ash, and Dr Johnson was a heaven sent. They followed my no man rule as I have ptsd and I cannot recommend them enough!
Traffic is terrible around the hospital and parking ramps are confusing. Make sure you ask before getting to GR what parking ramp and elevators to use to get where you need to be. Not very good directional signs or maps to find your way around. Double check stairways before closing the door, this one locks you out of the hospital, so you have to walk all the way downstairs and exit the building. You would think it would say that on the door! Staff we encountered were friendly, so that’s a plus.
