All staff is very friendly, and helpful. If you don't have insurance they try to get the medication as cheap as possible before you pick it up
This is a nice and friendly place. They sell a lot of stuff you would find in a typical drug store. I ended up going there because I needed to get a prescription drug for my dog and these corporate pharmacies won't always fill prescriptions from a veterinarian hospital.
Sincerely appreciate this pharmacy and the service they provide. Prescriptions are filled in a timely manner. The pharmacists and pharmacy staff are always so helpful and recently went above and beyond my expectations in helping me stay on my medication after my Dr's office and insurance company messed up three times. Thank you for always providing EXCELLENT customer service!
East Berlin Pharmacy had the soonest appointment to get my daughter a covid vaccine when they were approved for younger kids so I decided to take her there. It was well worth the 45 minute drive. Everyone we interacted with for both visits was very pleasant and the pharmacists were very gentle and caring when giving her the vaccine. I highly recommend them.
Living in a small town, you want to be able to know a few things: People care about their community, their town folks, and the businesses that remain so essential to you. But most importantly, you want to feel like, when you enter a small business, they know your name like a Cheers bar. This is one of those places. They care deeply about you, your family, your issues, your needs. Phil, Jeff, and the rest of the crew make you feel like family and go out of their way to help you with much of what you need. And that special attention, that special care, is not only wholesome, but heartwarming. We will never shop another pharmacy if we can avoid it. Ever.
Always friendly and very helpful!
This pharmacy has always treated me great if they don't have it they can get it. I recently moved my prescriptions to Weis for the gas points well that was a mistake ill be going back to East Berlin pharmacy. Weis had no idea who to run diabetic supplies threw i had to give them my insurance cards twice because the first time they didn't keep my card information on file. After weeks of trying to get my diabetic supplies I was told by Weis it has to be a specialty pharmacy... East Berlin had my diabetic supplies the next day. Oh and they are cheaper than Walmart!
In short, these idiots completely screwed up my regular prescription from a mail order company in a sneaky attempt to have it switched to them without my consent. Below are the full details of what transpired. On 2/7/18 I spoke with my doctor and indicated that a prescription was almost out and the mail order pharmacy that I have used for years was showing 0 refills available. They renewed it and sent the prescription to the mail order company. Great, business as usual and I will have a refill in 7-10 days. I also told the nurse that because I was so low, I may run out of medication before I receive my updated prescription in the mail. No problem she said..they would contact a local pharmacy of my choosing and have a gap prescription sent to them. I said I was in East Berlin, please send it to East Berlin pharmacy. No problem she said. On 2/8/18 I went to East Berlin pharmacy and told the girl at the counter my name. My prescription was not ready. After about 5 minutes of searching and talking and nobody knowing what was going on, I asked what the holdup was and one of the 6? pharmacists standing around was on the phone with the mail order company. I asked why. The girl said that they are having the prescription with the mail order canceled and transferred to East Berlin Pharmacy. WHOA! That is not what I was told would happen nor did any of these people tell me that they were going to CANCEL my mail order prescription so they could fill the whole thing in East Berlin. I guess this is how East Berlin Pharmacy entices new customers to purchase from them instead of mail order companies that crush their ridiculous small town pricing where locals have no other options. I told her to stop what she was doing, said this is a pain in the butt didn't say butt though..., I'm leaving and will call my doctor to have everything figured out because that is not right. I left that scam of a pharmacy and called my doctor. Today I get an email from the mail order company. The pharmacist at East Berlin Pharmacy PUT A HOLD ON MY PRESCRIPTION with them for some reason. I did not authorize them to do anything with my regular prescription. They took it upon themselves to try and switch my pharmacy without my knowledge. Their attempt to put a hold on my regular prescription and transfer it without my consent not only has the capacity to endanger someone's life, it constitutes underhanded and potentially criminal behavior. I RECOMMEND AVOIDING THIS PHARMACY AT ALL COSTS! Look into mail order options instead. Most are cheaper than regular pharmacies, have free shipping, automatically send you refills, and you don't have to deal with mental midgets at a storefront. ***UPDATE*** 2/13/18 I reached out to the Attorney General of Pennsylvania on 2/9/18 and filed a complaint against the actions of this pharmacy. They said they will investigate what occurred and get back to me. They also recommended, based on the series of events, to reach out to the PA Department of State Office of Professional Licensing to review this issue. When I spoke with them over the phone they sounded very interested in why a pharmacy would attempt to do this without communicating it to me while I stood there or even asking me if I want it filled by them. I will update this review accordingly pending the results from both investigations. As of today, 2/13/18, my medication has not arrived from the mail order pharmacy. Today is the second day without my pills. If East Berlin Pharmacy did not put a hold on a prescription that was being filled by a competitor, I feel that my prescription would be in my hands.
East Berlin Pharmacy is a wonderful place to get your medication and also any health products you might need. The staff there are great. They are very helpful and go out of there way to assist you. Very friendly a true neighborhood pharmacy.
This used to be the place I went to for all my meds. The one pharmacist Phil is awesome and will go above and beyond to help you in any way you need. You can count on your questions answered. HOWEVER, there recently has been new staff members who are rude, not properly trained, and take away from the simole "mom and pop" feel. Its actually sad and frustrating. They've lost alot of business just because of their new hirees
