Let me tell you. The team here is amazing. My dog is a nervous but friendly girl and when she comes here she’s wagging her tail. They are able to do everything I have needed for her and always address my concerns. They are also very reasonable in price. I appreciate you all and so does my girl Libbie!

Absolutely the best office and staff ever. My pug had to go in for emergency surgery and they were so kind and kept me updated all day and the staff loved on her. Dr Licata knew exactly what was wrong with her from all her symptoms and performed the surgery an hour later. Here she is at home snuggled on the couch

Meet Pepper MD, he’s our 7yr old Puggle whom we rescued 6 yrs ago, he became paralyzed with a spinal injury 4 yrs ago and recently got an infection in one of his paralyzed legs, after several calls to local vets and being turned down for immediate care this office and its AMAZING STAFF welcomed him even with a full schedule, He needed amputation and they went above and beyond to get him cared for treated they kept us his mom n dad updated on every moment of his care plan they took the time to explain and even went the extra mile to do laser treatments to ensure he endured no pain. I truly believe Dr. Licata and her staff are all angels and the real deal when it comes to caring for your fur babies. I WILL be bringing ALL of mine here from now on and so grateful to have found them. There’s not one thing about this office thats not 110% above the rest. I’ve been working amongst rescues, shelters, fosters and even APCA and can’t ever recall a Veterinarian so caring and professional, reasonable and helpful there’s not enough stars in the sky to give to Lakeside Veterinary Dr Licata, and all her staff!

This is the absolute best vet practice in Rochester! Dr. Licata is the most kind and compassionate vet that I have ever taken my fur babies to. She has always gone above and beyond to take the best care of them as possible. She gave my soul cat months more to live than a radiologist said he would due to her diligent hard work! I have never had a negative experience here. All of the staff are extremely kind, caring, and professional. If you want to go to a practice that does everything in their power to help you and you pets I couldn’t recommend Lakeside high enough!

The staff was not very professional , they acted like children . And they killed my dog , I will never go there again , I recommend that you don't either please find somewhere else. They truly have no compassion or love for animals they only love your money and that's what you call greed very greedy people these must be some fake reviews done by people that work in the office. They value money over your pet's life. I just speak based on my personal experience I believe the doctor was Dr Appleton she shouldn't work there anymore. That's the life of my pet , theres the photo of her , I I hope it hunts you in your dreams, and she is gone never to be forgotten, because of you all. So thanks for nothing.

I've moved around and been to many vets over the years, and this is by far the best experience my pets and I have ever had! Both Dr. Ferderbar and Dr. Licata are amazing, and their passion for animals really shines through. I have a very anxious, reactive dog, and the doctors and staff here do the most AMAZING job interacting with her. She even gets so excited to go to the vet, because of the overwhelmingly positive experience they provide her with. Another thing I appreciate is how much time the doctors and staff devote to really listening to you about any concerns. This is not an "in and out in 5 minutes" vet, so if you're looking for a super fast and impersonal vet experience, this won't be for you. But, if you want your vets and their staff to make a true connection with you and your pets, and you're willing to be patient with longer waiting times at points, you won't find a better vet experience than here. Deceitful. Charged emergency fees for 3 rats that had been scheduled for 1-2 MONTHS. Received enrofloxacin for their sniffles, which they injected unnecessarily for $140 each, despite it being prescribed to be orally administered at home, and separate $50 tubes of revolution for each, though one is more than sufficient for even repeat doses when the largest of the three required 0.22mL. I was forgiving of whatever they had screwed up in their computer regarding scheduling, as I have been in their shoes many years ago, so when the suggestion was made to bring them in the treatment area to wait until the DVM had a moment, we trustingly offered to wait. I had hoped it might be more convenient for them, as I had called several times during the weeks I was waiting, to confirm the multi-pet appointment and to give updates on their conditions. Instead I was financially punished $600 for their scheduling mistake. I feel terribly hurt and betrayed. I was trying to be as easy and agreeable a client as possible and this has just left me depressed. It has been a very expensive year of many horrible deaths. I wish more vets saw rodents. It would probably have cost less to drive to Cornell. At least they knew how to keep an appointment.

We are a rescue in Rochester. We had Brownie see another vet which did absolutely nothing but do xrays for a swollen ankle 3 x. Lakeside was compassionate and patient with him. He is a nervous dog. They aspirated the lump and placed him on meds. We were 100% satisfied with the care he received that we will now be using them for all our rescues and our pack as well. It is a busy practice and you may have to wait but it is worth the wait! The staff is very professional and friendly. Ty Lakeside!

We have been using this vet for 30 yrs, more recently with new leadership. We have a new puppy and they got us right in for her first check-up. All the staff are friendly and enthusiastic. All our questions have been answered and we have never felt as though recommendations were made just to increase business. Would absolutely recommend this vet to a friend!
