My son is currently in the hospital and potentially will be there for several more weeks. He's been there almost a month already. The care has been excellent by the Dr's and nurses. But the food is ridiculous. I can't post a picture unfortunately but the food he got this evening no person should have to eat. I do have the pictures saved. I've taken him breakfast several times and try to make sure he's stocked up on things he can reheat so he gets at least one decent meal a day. The number of people I see carry food in just so their family members can have a decent meal is crazy. I visit almost daily and I normally see at least one or more family's carrying food in. I 2 in sliver of chicken does not a meal make. I think the meals should be taken off the medical bills. I've walked by rooms and heard people calling to have someone bring them food after seeing their meal. That to me is very sad considering the amount of money a hospital stay costs
The first time I went in, they told me that I needn't worry about my kidneys, it's all benign. Not true according to two doctors I saw after this. Then, on May 28th, memorial weekend, I came in with another Urinary Tract Infection. It seemed to me the more experienced staff were off that weekend. The people I had helping me were very inexperienced. One CNA. The first thing they did was to put a catheter in. The wrong catheter. She tried to force it and then pulled it out when she realized it couldn't be forced. Of course, I had blood spurting from my urethra every time my heartbeat. It was bad. So, then they went and brought back a second catheter; the right one, very late and shoved that in place to stop the bleeding. Talk about painful. They had said it's this or you can go elsewhere. Right. The second catheter kept clogging, blood clotting from whatever they tore. So, they went and brought back an even bigger one. Makes a good plug? I ended up in another hospital's emergency room roughly an hour later because of pain and discomfort, the catheter was still not right. I filed a complaint with EIRMC soon after. A Raymee Marlin, patient advocate wrote me back June 14th. Said it would be looked into. Another letter from Raymee Marlin, was sent on June 20th, they found nothing was done wrong. To this day I find Urologists hesitant to help me further due to possible scar tissue and whatever was torn.
Everything from checking in to being discharged was smooth. The nurses and staff were caring, kind and wonderful in every way. I stayed in the Women's Wing which was calm and very comfortable! This was the first time I've needed to spend the night in a hospital and it was as good of an experience as possible for being in a hospital. Courtney day nurse and Jenny night nurse were absolutely wonderful!!!
Top notch care at the ER! I was admitted quickly, triaged quickly and seen by a doctor quickly - which is what everyone hopes for when you must be seen at the ER. My nurse, Juanita, was the best! She was compassionate and efficient, and I felt as if I were her only patient. Nick, the MRI technician, was careful and concerned about my comfort. Dr. Cook was the only one who seemed a bit hurried, however, he listened very carefully about what happened, and narrowed the diagnosis to two possibilities. He ordered an MRI to rule out a more serious problem and he seemed genuinely happy when he told me he had great news when the MRI results came in. Overall, I had great care at EIRMC! The team that cared for me was the best! Thank you!!
Corrupt! DO NOT WORK HERE! I was the security guy here for about two years. Until I got dispatched to someone having a heart attack in the parking lot. I called for the ER staff to come out with a stretcher and they refused to telling me to wait for an ambulance to come get him. He refused to help a dying man so security drove the patients car to the ER door. I reported the incident through HCA. They investigated themselves and found no fault of course. And then punished me for filing the report. They canceled my training course even though they already booked it and had my hotel so I wouldn't be allowed to work in the ER. They tell you they want you to put patients first and report unethical behavior but they will punish you if you do. If your hurt, limp to mountain view, if your looking for a job, keep looking.
Very lame of an excuse for a hospital. Been here with my own bad experience and a family member. Some the nurses in the ICU were very inconsiderate. If you don’t let more then three people in the hospital then update your visitor guidelines. On the website it doesn’t state how many people are allowed.
I was initially impressed with the pediatric ER due to how fast they got my son back to triage and in a room, but that’s where it ends. I took him in for burns and his pain was through the roof, screaming it hurt so bad. Not only didn’t they use lidocaine but after asking for more ice multiple times because the pack we brought from home melted, I had to go find it myself. I expected so much more from a pediatric ER, I never thought taking him there for treatment would end up traumatizing him more than he already was and prevent us from actually receiving the treatment he needed. We won’t be going back.
Jake in the ER was fantastic. Peyton and Mike were wonderful nurses and I want to make a special mention of Josh, he was not my nurse but he stepped up and wheeled me to my car. The staff was simply amazing.
I’ve worked with EIRMC for many years, in many capacities. I love their caring and knowledgeable approach to patient care. The employees and physicians go above-and-beyond to provide the best quality care possible. I highly recommend them for all your healthcare needs!
Doctor lemon is my breast cancer surgical doctor. He was always helpful in explaining every step he would be taking and was always very clear in his explanations. He answered all inquiries clearly and never seemed rushed. I highly recommend him to anyone requiring surgery.
