The cabins are amazing! Highly recommend. They really thought of everything and the convenience to rafting is awesome. We stayed for 2 nights to end our vacation time in Colorado. It was great to kick back and relax in our own hammock and patio!Rooms: 5/5
Tex was SUPER, had GREAT TIME on the 1/2 day Royal Gorge. Felt quick but SOOO worth it. Ask for Tex and have a blast.Service: 5/5
Only doing 4 stars because the noise and just screaming of the other campers went on all night 9pm- 4am I don’t care much for having a good time and taking in cold one around camp fire but this was ridiculously loud and really sucked. Also a bit disappointed that they were right off the highway and not secluded like we expected. The tent itself was nice and very comfortable for the 4 days we stayed. Only recommend to the people that don’t care for the screaming and yelling between 9pm - 4pm!
We broke down 1 hour away. No rental cars had to call family to come get us. Really needed to cancel and yes I know it was short notice!!! They would not give us any kind of credit. I even had proof of our truck breaking down. Yes I should have paid extra for the insurance. Every time I get it we never use it!!! So of course the one time I don't this happens. The sweet little girl answering phone tried to accommodate us but did not seem to understand we could not fix our truck on a Saturday night at 6 pm nor could we even get a rental to get there. She just kept saying come when you can. She asked management for some kind of credit and they flat out said NO!!! So disappointed with the empathy and service. We use this company quite a bit when family visits for rafting, zip line tours and we will not under any circumstances use them again.
I will admit I was a little bit worried about this campsite because of the reviews complaining about noise and privacy. But I booked it anyway because it was right across the street from the white water rafting company we booked a trip with. It was honestly much better than I was expecting. It was a lovely, clean campsite with a really nice bathhouse with bathrooms, showers and laundry. Definitely not a wilderness camping experience but great for families. We booked a campsite #1 and we felt like it was a great spot. The cons were the bathrooms being REALLY far away we drove up to them most of the time yet definitely not enough privacy to "go" outside. There was a helicopter across the street and bar with live music but we couldn't really hear either at night where our camp was so it didn't bother us. One thing to keep in mind is that there are very few trees or shades and temperatures were in the high 90's early 100's this past weekend so it was a little brutal. But overall we had a great time and I thought it was a really nice commercial campground. The kids had a blast. The glamping tents looked awesome. However minus one star for Amanda at the front desk who was incredibly, openly rude and nasty to my husband for no reason. He is rarely ever bothered by rudeness and it really put him and us in a bad head space on arrival. She needs some customer service training. HOWEVER all the other staff members we encountered were wonderful and made up for her foulness.
Great place, I stayed in one of their cabins. It was very nice and looked just like the website. It had beautiful views of the mountains from either the windows or from the porch. Was equipped with everything in the kitchen from utensils and plates, and most of all had a great outdoor gas grill. Very comfortable bed and linens, in addition the indoor outdoor fireplace was awesome!! The campgrounds were very nice and kept, the community play area had games and a fire pit that was great. Lastly, the hammock at the cabin put the finishing touches on making it a relaxing experience. Will definitely return for another stay.
This place is amazing. I was concerned we would be too close to the road or that the helicopters would be flying over all the time but that wasn't the case. It's quiet enough. You are so close to everything it makes it so nice. The cabins are absolutely stunning. Immaculate condition. They took really good covid precautions. I would come back in a heartbeat!
I wanted to love the place.... my family of four rented a "cabin" tent for glamping while visiting the region for rafting and checking out the gorge. The idea is fantastic. The tent was really nice. Everything was great until it actually came time to sleep. The road noise was SOOO bad. I didn't sleep hardly at all.... definitely not something I would do again.
Our Girl Scout Troop recently camped here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The views here are beautiful at all times of the day. Our favorites were the fire that was lit in the evenings for for guests, the tetherball, the clean showers, bathhouse and common area. Location is perfect for rafting and visiting the Royal Gorge. Highly recommend!
Beautiful sunrise views, extremely relaxing. Only downfall is being close to a main road, can hear traffic. Bathrooms were clean. Staff was friendly. Lots of yard games set up to entertain you, and provided with fire starting kit. Will definitely be coming back again!
