My focus is on Agateware, a type of pottery made by turning multiple colors of clay on the wheel at the same time. I carve the outside of the pots to reveal the layers of different colored clays. This creates a pattern similar to wood grain or fudge ripple ice cream. It's fired with a clear glaze. What you see is the clay itself. The nature of the process makes each pot unique. Agateware is food, microwave, dishwasher and oven safe.
