Really really really average. If not worse. The staff is alright and the rooms are kept fairly alright. The beds are covered with a little bit of dust and my roommate complained of there being some bedbugs. The continental breakfast is below mediocre. Overall, I only stayed here because it was cheap and I had to.
I just stayed at here. The lobby had a bad smell, but the room was okay. My biggest concern is that when I checked in the front desk clerk made a photo copy of my credit card. When I saw that I objected and he told me the manager told him to do that. I objected and made sure the photo copy of the credit card number was destroyed, but it made me very nervous. I pointed out that even the billing only listed the last four numbers. I asked to speak to the manager and I was told that he wasn't reachable by phone, that I'd have to e-mail him. I did e-mail, but, of course, have heard nothing back even though stayed two nights and have since departed. I've also now written to Choice Hotels. The room was okay, but based on the experience with the credit card and the lack of response by the management, I won't stay there again.
I paid online but when I got there, they charged me again. They sorted it out later that evening though. Hotwire cost was more than the normal hotel rate. The room hasn't been done up yet and was slightly disheveled. Employees were very friendly and helpful and upgraded the room to a slightly larger one. The hotel itself looks like it has seen better days from the outside but the room was nice and clean. Breakfast was OK but not large.
Stayed her for one night, June 2012. They have recently remodeled it. New carpet, new paint, new appliances Fridge and Microwave. Room was clean. AC worked well. Breakfast was OK, not too much, but really basic. Danish, toast, cereal. cinnamon roll, biscuit/gravy, coffee & Juice. Very close to the Cosmosphere & Mall. Good dining options nearby. Good value for the amount paid. Would stay here again, if I visit Hutchinson.
Stayed there while working a hitch during mid DEC16. Had numerous lady bugs in room. Was moved to another room. Did not notice until back home for two days and noticed that electronic tablet and some personal medication had been stolen from my bags. Don't trust this hotel. 0 stars if google would let me post it.
Econo lodge should be $10 cheaper because they don't have pools but that doesn't mean the cleanlyness and upkeep of the rooms should be ignored. Our toilet seat bolt was broke, it leaked in the back also. Come on people simple low expensive fixes can get you better reviews and better reviews mean people will come knocking.
Yuck! Front desk person is no help! Can't work computer system worth a crap! Put us in a room that smelled of cigarette smoke when it's supposed to be a smoke free facility. Then put us in a room that the ac unit doesn't blow cold air.
Room was clean and decently kept. The entire hotel is marked as non smoking but the smell of people smoking in the halls was very overwhelming.
nice and clean rooms. prices are budget friendly. they were painting exterior when we stayed. looks like they are remodeling.
The room was nice, the staff were friendly, but the breakfast was stale and there was heavy cigarette smoke in the hallways at all times.
