Econo Lodge

It was disgusting and staff was rude. I was calling for days before arriving to change a booking and no answer. We got there and our room was gross, the tv was broken, our toilet wouldnt flush, and there were cigarette burn holes everywhere in a NO SMOKING room. The wifi didnt work either. We went to the front staff to try to resolve the issue with the tv and toilet, maybe get another room or $ off, but she said there was nothing she could do. It smelled disgusting and the halls were way too hot. People were laid out in the hallways as well. It seemed like families were living in some of the rooms on our floor. The day after check out my husband realized he left his keys in the room, and still, no answer on the phone. We have friends out there so they went up there and staff told them they didnt find anything. Our friends insisted looking themselves and of course, found the keys as well as realizing it had been over 24 hours since we checked out and housekeeping still hadnt touched our room. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. IT IS CHEAP BUT NOT WORTH IT. A DRUG HOTEL FOR SURE AND NOT SAFE!

The pictures when booking are very deceiving. It was very run down! The pool was not in use. When checking in the lady told me “the WiFi might or might not work” Going inside building from outside the hall way to get to the room was about 80 degrees hot. When in the room right when you walked in you instantly got hit in the face with the smell of musky smoke. The bed was on a metal platform and when I went to sit on it you could feel every spring in the mattress. To top it all off you sat on down on bed and you would get the nasty feeling of dampness as the bed was damp and being in the room it felt very damp. Mold all in the bath tub, and mold looking something between wood planks on flooring. So we immediately went to the front desk and told them we would not be staying there. Let me not forget to mention with how the pictures look when booking it looks as if you are in a nice area. Vs you are in a not so nice area at all and don’t feel very safe. I feel like I was catfished but hotel edition.

We came with 10 people, one of the rooms had a musty smell, but for the most part they were ok. Was quiet at night, I didn't get woken up by loud cars or people. Very convenient to downtown Savannah, stores and fast food in walking distance. The pool wasn't in working condition, that was a disappointment. But, for the most part just somewhere to stay.

Rooms okay, smells okay and looks clean. Front desk is nice. There's sketchy dudes hanging out in the parking lot and the wifi doesn't work. Won't stay here again.Rooms: 3/5
