This Econo Lodge certainly holds up to it’s name “Econo”. The pros: The rooms are spacious with tile flooring and you have a microwave along with a refrigerator and a hair dryer. This property is also centrally located around many food joints at a walking distance and close to the Freeway. The Cons: While I understand it’s an economy hotel I believe that cleanliness should never be held back. The room was very dusty throughout the furniture tops and the worst of all was the restroom, the ceiling was moldy which is definitely unacceptable! It claims having a Continental breakfast. You get cereal, 2 choices toast with butter and coffee and milk. A few pastries and 4 brown bananas. Considering we had a group of 34 people no one was there to refill toast and bananas. We had to constantly keep calling them out. The furniture is old and bed was hard and you could feel / hear the springs as you move throughout the bed. I know you get what you pay for, but a room should never be dusty or have mold in the restroom.
I stayed at the property on and off for several weeks while I was relocating to Mohave County back in 2014. The rooms were clean and well tended. The Manager was both polite and kind. And there was fast food and sit-down dining within walking distance 1-2 blocks. I actually liked it. There are not a ton of extra amenities, but if you want a clean, quiet, safe place to stay, you can't do any better for the price!
Room was nice for a budget motel. Room price was $52 then tax was $13. Total $65. Two bed and a microwave. My opinion it was way to expensive for this type of room. I was charged an extra $20 after we left because the guy said we stole a pillow. Yes. A pillow. I called back and he was very rude and refused to refund my money. He was sexist and called me a liar about my military service. He threatened to charge my card more times for smoking in the room did not happen and having more people stay in the room. I would rather sleep in my car than to put up with this idiot again.
Stayed 7/28/14. Arrived late at night and after calling several places, this was the only place that had a vacancy that was pet friendly with smoking room. The lady at the desk was super friendly and accommodating. I paid less than $50 plus $10 for the dog so can't gripe about the price. The place was pretty run down. The door on my room had been kicked in and the dead bolt moved up on the door to operate. The room was in bad need of updating with old furnishing one might see at a garage sale. It had a smoke odor that was strong for even my friend that smoked. The beds were uncomfortable due to inexpensive hard mattresses and I didn't sleep very well. The free breakfast was meager and consisted of pastries, juice and coffee. I would not recommend this hotel unless there were no other rooms available anywhere else.
The Indian manager made me leave a $50 deposit for paying cash. The dumpy room has no air conditioning and cock roaches!!! There was not a no smoking sign on the door or in the room, he never asked if I wanted a smoking room or not. Then when it came time to get my deposit all the sudden there was a teeny tiny no smoking sign on the door and he SCREAMED at us for smoking and said I owe him my deposit PLUS $110 more! Motel 6 is two doors down, awesome, friendly and $45, no pet charge! Stay away from the jerk! I told him to use my $50 to buy a new diaper to wear on his head!
I am currently on an extended road trip, and this was my 12th different motel over the last 2 1/2 weeks. Not only was it the least expensive, it was also my favorite room so far. It was big and clean, with a cool little couch and coffee table...perfect for computer work and watching TV. A good sized fridge and micro as well. It was very quiet, local traffic fairly light, and there's a nice grocery store directly across the street. I stayed 2 nights, and hated to leave, knowing that my next room would probably pale in comparison. It did.
My husband and I spent the night here on our trip from Texas to San Francisco. We liked it so much that we stayed there AGAIN on our way from San Francisco back home to Texas. Let me assure you that the rooms, as well as the entire motel, is spic and span, clean as a whistle. The rooms have new carpet and new paint and smell just fine. There are NO BEDBUGS either. Mr. Patel is a delight and will go out of his way to help. The breakfast is neatly set up in a nice and clean area. If anybody wants a breakfast with eggs and bacon, he'd better cough up the big bucks for a fancy hotel. With all that being said, it is pretty clear to me what the previous reviewer was trying to accomplish. He's obviously disgruntled about something that was his wrong doing, rather than that of Mr. Patel. I am glad that I recognized the most recent review for what it turned out to be and decided to choose this motel for our overnight stay anyway.
Place was disgusting. There was what I can only assume to be pubic hair in and on the tub, there were burn marks EVERYWHERE but it's a non smoking room, the doorstop for the bathroom door was somehow MELTED off, there are giant mystery stains all over, the place reeked of stale cigarettes, the towels were dirty, the staff was very impatient and rude with me plus wrote my card number down on a sheet of paper instead of in a the computer sorry I don't feel comfortable with this, was rushing me to sign things but not letting me read them, and gave us the wrong room. I booked a king non smoking and we were put in a double room and we were overcharged. Would NOT recommend. Paid almost $57.00 for this, completely unacceptable!
I needed a place to sleep for a few hours and this was the only hotel in town with vacancy. I give it a 1.5 star because the manager seems like a great guy and bc it has a shower. My room smelled very heavily of smoke, in spite of promises that it would not. The tv has one channel and is being held together with tape. The bathroom had a dying roach neatly placed in the center like a pillow mint. In addition to smoke, i kept smelling something like mildewy poo coming from one of the corners. I chose not to investigate. BUT the manager was super friendly and I think they have generic fruit loops for breakfast so it’s not all bad.
First of all we booked queens double bed smoking room. The lady was rude and gave us non smoking room. When we complained on choicehotel customer care, the owner asked us to leave. Since there was no option available nearby so I have to accept the room for that day. So don't fall for low price, they will give you nightmare and ruin your travel experience. If you are reading this review don't ever think of booking this hotel. You will be stuck in middle of nowhere and have to compromise just like me.
