Easy hike on mostly level terrain. Slight overgrowth in areas, and about a quarter of the loop trail is poorly marked. Some areas were very scenic - others not so much. Broken glass found throughout trail. Not a problem for hiking, but never gear to see and problematic for those walking pups.
Very cool kind of “secret spot” along the edge of a cliff hence the name. Lots of winding trails for hiking or mountain biking & beautiful views. Nicely shaded. Cool old armory type building too.
Great trail. Fun and interesting hike
The straight out and back path of Edgecliff is flat and lovely. If you do any exploring into the split rock/bike trails be warned that there is broken glass EVERYWHERE!! I was so nervous for my dogs feet. It's heartbreaking that such a beautiful web of trails that covers so many terrains is completely disrespected.
Loooove this place to go on hikes! There are so many different trails and places to explore , plus its beautiful. The trails are pretty well kept and its pretty easy walking. I love going here and have been going since I was a kid and its one of my favorite places to hike in Camillus.it's super close driving wise which is very convenient !
An alternate way to get to the rock crusher! I never knew this was here. Reasonably popular with mountain bikes, a couple of we'll maintained trails with lots of little side trails all eventually taking you to Split Rock Quarry. Bonus outhouse? Shipping container home? So much weirdness lol. Easy in & out
Trails aren't well marked and there is trash EVERYWHERE, but it was quiet and secluded, off the beaten path and a beautiful walk. I'll go again, but with trash bags to clean up. Sad to see it so neglected.
Oodles of trails to explore. There is parking on either side of the road, though poorly marked.
Beautiful trail, great for mountain biking.
Provides a 5 mile round trip hike to Split Rock Quarry and the Stone Crusher. It starts out a little scrubby at Kasson Road but quickly moves into mature woods. Stay on the main trail a good mile and a 1/2, going down to the grey house.. Go out to the road and make a right uphill. At the top of the hill go hard left to get back to the quarry or stay to the right for several hundred yards and then make a left to the stone crusher. You can return to Kason Road from up there but be aware there are several crossing and parallel paths in those woods. However, cellular location worked on our whole round trip hike.
