We went to the Highland games in Mount Vernon. We did a lot of walking, I found my family heritage tent and learned all kinds of things from my ancestors. I'm going again next year
Lots of animals to see and touch from Reptile Man. Mount vernon library activities and MV parks and Rec and MVPD and US Park Ranger. Thanks everyone it was lots of fun!
This was my first time here. It was ok. Theres a field. My gmap was pointed me towards the Edgewater Park so I was there. I was looking for North Edgewater. I saw a couple homeless and one is walking towards my car window I'm not sure if his trying to ask for change or cross. That was??
Fisherman parking trucks by the stage, in the middle of the disc course, half a dozen dog walkers 2 chasing Frisbees. Most of the tee offs were missing and baskets vandalized. Not kid friendly, family friendly, nor disc golf friendly
Park is kept clean, lots of space to spread out. Very quiet even on the sunniest day - I do get approached by houseless people there consistently, but they are all very nice and just want to chat or get a dollar then go back to their space on the lawn. Love this park and will be there all summer :
Went for the highland festival which was a lot of fun, with a lot of friendly people. Good prices in general and good food. I could see this being a nice outdoor venue for similar events.
I was just checking out the place I used to go fishing off that old boat ramp with family. Oh the fishing stories were some of the best days of my older adult life.
Absolutely ratchet. Do not come here ever. Terrible disc golf course, trash everywhere, cars parked all in the grass on the course, laughably sketchy. Poor experience
Big, grassy park along the river. Great for events, walks, or just hanging out. Beautiful views! Most of it doesn't have much shade, something to consider on hot days.
I go to this park to play fetch with my dog and relax. They always have bags for dog waste and a big open field for the dogs to run. In the summer time there are shaded areas to park and there's a trail there that leads to the river.
