Our family worked with Matt in setting up the arrangements for my dad. He was so compassionate and thorough in getting us through this difficult time. He wrote the obituary, arranged for the priest and the Air Force to play taps and present the flag, had prayer cards printed, contacted social security, ordered death certificates etc. Clean, updated lobby, spacious viewing room, ample parking. We used their large screen TV to upload photos which was very special. A very professional business with people that made an awful time so much easier.
Edwards Dowdle FH performed services for my mom and dad. They were professional and extremely sensitive to all my needs. The funeral home is updated and very clean with a nice big parking lot. We had visitation and burial on same day for my dad. Joe took care of everything for me. I didn’t have to worry about or do a thing. I can’t say enough good things about Edwards Dowdle FH. They made a tough day very easy for me and my family
I have sadly had to use the services of Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home twice. The first time was six years ago when my Mom passed away unexpectedly. Everything was a blur but Danielle, our Funeral Director, made sure the arrangements and services ran smoothly. She was very patient and understanding. Explained everything that we needed to know. On the day of the funeral she was a powerhouse. Completely in charge from the Funeral Home to the Church to the Mausoleum. The second time, for my Dad, I was more prepared and familiar with the routine. I was able to notice just how many details were being cared for and also what a great team was working with Danielle. Every single employee including the on-site staff, pallbearers and drivers were completely professional and focused on their jobs. Danielle was by my side the entire day. I am so thankful that people like Danielle and her colleagues choose this as a career. It means the world to me to know that we can rely on them in our times of need.
The entire staff was so kind and considerate throughout the process. All the arrangements and services were explained with suggestions and discussions throughout. Every detail was considered. My husband was an FDNY retiree and Navy veteran and all of the coordination with the honor guards was taken care of for us. My family is forever grateful.
Danielle provided our family with the highest level of professionalism, compassion and attentiveness with respect to the passing of a family member. The entire experience was flawless which our family really appreciated during a very difficult time. Danielle, thank you for everything.
I can't think say enough good things about Edwards Dowdle Funeral Home. Danielle worked with me to make arrangements for my mother. She was absolutely wonderful. She was compassionate, patient, and thoughtful. She walked me through the arrangements and services in detail. I can't thank them enough for helping me and my family through a difficult time and putting us at ease with our loved one.
I've had Edwards-Dowdle handle the arrangements for two family members in the past year and a half and their services have been impeccable. Kind, thoughtful, professional—all the things one would hope for during a difficult time. They made one of the hard parts easy!
Let me start by saying at my darkest moment in life of losing my father suddenly, Edwards Dowdle Funeral Home in Dobbs ferry Ny helped me tremendously. I was moving my daughter into college 3 hrs away and received a call from the police with news and asking who they should call? If I had arrangements? I was lost , heartbroken totally floored! With my daughter in the other room decorating our world came crashing down.I immediately thought of Joseph the owner of Edwards and called his cell phone. He was on a plane going to move his son into college and I said “Joe I lost my dad and have no idea what to do” He told me not to worry he would take care of everything and send someone over right away! This was Wednesday my daughters classes would start Monday! What do I do? I then drove back 3 hrs and by the time I reached home we had the wake, church , burial and info all on website set up for that Friday and Saturday so I can get my lil girl back to school on Sunday for classes Monday. That’s just the start! Danielle who sat with us to go over details from prayer cards to coffin to limos was fantastic. She made it so easy and so comfortable. The whole staff from Joe’s mom from greeting us to Joes sister Liz who made my father look phenomenal was top notch. The staff was so attentive I can’t say enough. Class act all the way. The facility was gorgeous and there wasn’t one thing I would have done different. This family business is where you want to bring your loved one for sure. I really truly could not have done it without them. If anyone would like to speak with me further reach out to me. My father was my world and all of our family and friends all agree he would have been so happy to see how it all turned out.
I recently required the services of Edwards-Dowdle Funeral Home when my mom passed away. To a person the staff showed such compassion and empathy throughout the process. And Danielle was so supportive and thorough when discussing options and sharing suggestions. There was no rushing, no hard sell. She was supportive every step of the way. And her offering to let me say a final goodbye to Mom in private still brings tears to my eyes. I hadn't even thought of that. A big thank you to the staff.
