My kiddos have been apart of District 7 for a few years and we have absolutely loved our experience. We started during COVID so it was definitely a challenging time for faculty as well as the children. Now that COVID policies have changed, we are able to volunteer and be active in the district! So happy and proud to be apart of District 7! Thank you to everyone who makes this such a great community and place to learn!
I wish I could give a -5 because this school district is something else and for my kids safety I need to get my black sons out Edwardsville.
Hadley House office is less than stellar. Not helpful and rather rude.
Special Needs child stay away. Rebecca Kolda under Hightower prided themselves on containing expenditures to special needs population. Good for kids tracked to college or athletics excellence. Underlying reasons for 1 and 5 scores.
The 1 star reviews are insane. I've grown up in a different school district, and while good, we specifically moved to Edwardsville/Glen Carbon because of the school district. We've been to 2 of the elementary schools so far and have nothing but wonderful things to say. We've always had great lines of communication, and nothing but friendly teachers and staff. I would 100 percent recommend this district to any one who asks.
Incompetent administration, high property taxes, and behind other school districts when it comes to technology, curriculum and vocational training. While Edwardsville used to be the premier school district on the IL side of the river, the overall quality has gone down hill in recent years.
They used to be top notch, but have gone down hill in terms of curriculum offering, technology access to underserved student populations, standardized test scores, and athletic championships.
Mediocre at best. I certainly wouldn't move here "for the schools" as others have stated. About five times the price of surrounding school districts with no return in either student performance or quality of staff. You won't believe how many triple digit salaries there are in this public school district!!!
All of these 1-star reviews are a joke. The teachers and staff are outstanding as is the school board. We appreciate you all.
They are unwilling to communicate with parents of you ask any question they aren't comfortable answering. Would not recommend for ANY parent to send their child to this school district.
